I’m Diane, a qualified and experienced counsellor who understands how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially when you are not used to needing help. I provide a warm and accepting environment where I listen, without judgment.

For several years, I volunteered with a West Yorkshire bereavement service and have broad experience working with people who are processing grief. Some speak of “grieving alone” when the administration of the bereavement is finalised. Others discuss the deep sense of isolation and unacknowledged depth of their loss. Some clients mention the impact of others wanting to fix or avoid. Bereavement counselling would involve compassion and validation of your emotions and respect for you and the relationship you shared with your loved one.

Counselling could involve learning more about yourself and exploring relationships could help you understand your connections with others, including those who have been lost, through relationship breakups, divorce, separation and bereavement. Feelings of anger, guilt and shame can come up. Others mention being afraid, worried or lost.

Weekly, fortnightly or flexible appointments with a choice in-person locations in the Harrogate/Knaresborough area or online across the UK. Daytime and early evening sessions. An initial 20-minute telephone call (in the UK) is free. Pay for one session at a time. No block booking required.

Appointment Policy – No Shows & Late Cancellations

Just a friendly reminder that if you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your scheduled time, or do not attend your appointment, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

This fee will be automatically processed through Fresha if your appointment is cancelled within the 48-hour window or marked as a no-show.

Unfortunately, missed appointments and last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on a small business. When appointments are booked and not attended, it prevents us from offering that time to other clients.

We kindly ask that if you need to rearrange or cancel your booking, you do so with at least 48 hours’ notice.

I just wanted to pop on and have a little chat about appointments.

I’ve never been someone to say “book in advance” because I know that can sometimes feel a bit panic-inducing… but I’ve recently been looking through my diary and it’s getting very busy!

I’ve had lots of you booking ahead (thank you 🙌) and I’ve also welcomed lots of lovely new clients, which is amazing. I’m so grateful!

But to all my OG clients — please, please, please book your appointments in advance if you can. Availability is becoming more limited, and now that I’ve clearly decided to pursue my new career as a professional ice skater, I can’t exactly add extra late nights anymore 😂
