A slightly unusual one today — I removed a hearing aid rubber mould from a patient’s ear!
She hadn’t realised it had remained in place and assumed she must have accidentally hoovered it up. It turns out it had likely been sitting there for the best part of six months, which would explain the hearing loss she’d been experiencing in her right ear over that time.
Safe to say, both the mystery and the hearing loss were solved today!
