Thought it might be nice to share some HBH history with you. Many moons ago I used to take pictures on a camera (I thought that was pretty cool considering before that it used to be on a disposable camera) and upload them onto the computer to then upload to my Facebook group. Everyone used to think I was mad always taking pictures of my work but soon everyone started doing it.

I didn’t really understand social media back then and definitely didn’t use it to my full advantage however it did mean I became fully booked very quickly.

When I first opened my little salon in Hastings I was one of the only places around doing balayage. I created my own techniques which I have trained other salons, colleges and stylists to do. I’ve never been one to copy, always one to create and I love sharing my knowledge with others.

Over the years I’ve really found my niche which is Natural colours. These can be totally underrated and I take lots of extra steps to create perfection. I treat each part of the hair accordingly rather than a one suits all.

I adore curly cutting and believe in enhancing peoples natural curly hair so they can manage and enjoy it.

Moving to Bexhill in 2020 was my best move yet, and I am still 100% booked. I will reopen my personal books again at some point just not sure when, however we have some incredible independent stylists working at the salon.

Natural Hair Colour is so underrated. Here are some of the steps I take to create your perfect colour.

•Thorough consultation- I will help guide you, advise and be completely transparent about your expected results. If it’s not going to work I will tell you straight.
•Breakdown of your colour. I will treat each part, each bad of colour, each strand individually using different levels of colour or bleach.
•Bespoke gloss - I will often use two levels of gloss to achieve the perfect blende. Great if some parts lift warmer than others.
•Need white blending ? Great that’s my thing too - I have tonnes of methods to help create the perfect blende and soft grow out.
•I will take charge, I know what will work for you and what will not , and my guests love that they can relax in my chair knowing I will create something totally unique to them.
•You’ll notice I tailor colour and cutting, it’s a completely different experience.
•I don’t cut hair, I sculpt hair - tailored cutting means it fits YOU, not one cut for all.

My favourite thing though is beyond hair, it’s that moment when you leave floating out of the salon not only looking amazing but FEELING incredible.

My vision for a while now has been to integrate my passion for hair and crystals so I’m starting my very own Crystal Corner at the salon.

I’ve sourced the highest quality unique crystals, it’s only small to begin with but if successful I will grow it.
