Autumn/winter is the BEST time to start getting waxed🍯Here’s why👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
•Autumn winter fashion makes it easy to cover hair in the growing out phase.
•Stress free. You won’t have to worry about hair showing on spontaneous beach days and trips to the b**r garden.
•Get your hair growth cycles synchronised before summer by avoiding shaving in between waxes.
•Consistent removal of hair from the root over 3-4 sessions will mean hair grows softer and thinner by summer☀️

𝓐𝓻𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪 𝓼𝓴𝓲𝓷 𝓹𝓲𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓻?

Picking and biting the skin around my nails has been a habit of mine for as long as I can remember. I have always bitten and picked my skin and natural nails (if they are not protected). In times of stress and anxiety picking at our skin and biting our nails can become a subconscious action.

Picking the skin on our fingers and biting our nails can cause physical damage to our nails, skin and teeth. Breaking the skin barrier on our fingers can cause infection, scaring and disfigurement. In extreme cases, tissue and nerve damage can be a result. Not only does picked skin look sore, it is extremely painful and takes a long time to heal as we often continue to pick and bite the area.

Nail biting is a very common thing I see which is often a result of anxiety or boredom. Nail biting can cause dental implications, extremely sore nails and in extreme cases nail deformities.

𝓗𝓸𝔀 𝓽𝓸 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓹 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓮𝓵𝓯 𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓹
✨Oil your cuticles daily and moisturise your hands! This will eliminate dry and rough patches which trigger the urge to pick and bite!
✨Keep your hands busy! Fidget toys, rings or stress balls are known to work well when the urge to pick/bite arises.
✨Identify your triggers! Notice when and where you normally pick your skin/nails and try to avoid those settings and situations. If they are un-avoidable, use the trick above.
✨Try to delay your urge. Resist the habit for a minute, then gradually increase the time you wait to act each time you get the urge.
✨If the problem is prominent, you feel that it is out of control or leaves you feeling in emotional distress and physical discomfort, go to your GP!!
✨Have your nails done. (This works for me 90% of the time). •Having your nails done creates a physical barrier making it extremely difficult to bite your nails.
•In your appointment, dead skin will be removed safely and properly, meaning there is little there to pick/bite. •Visual motivation! Investing in your nails will create a psychological barrier. You won’t want to ruin a set of nails you have paid for🤍
