The Influence Of Quadriceps Strength On Knee Cartilage

👉 Quadriceps strength is essential for good knee function

💪 Therefore, strengthening has been advocated as the first-line treatment for knee OA.

📚 In the study by Gong et al. (2022) authors aimed to investigate the influence of quadriceps strength on knee cartilage.

✅ Results showed that higher quadriceps strength at baseline led to less changes in cartilage damage, thus confirming the protective role of the quadriceps for knee health.
