Hi Everyone! It’s Annette here, writing from the London-Surrey border where clouds are forming leading into the winters here in the United Kingdom.

Winters are normally gloomy for me, but as I write this, I am happy to share my transition from hospital doctor in acute medicine, stroke and geriatrics to now working in aesthetic medicine. ☀️ (In between working in hospital, I’ve been working in the largest aesthetic clinic in the UK, SK:N).

Aesthetic medicine is a branch of healthcare focused on improving the appearance and beauty of individuals through non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures.

It encompasses a wide range of treatments aimed at enhancing features and rejuvenating the skin, mainly with injectables.

For those of you who know, one passion of mine is designing fine jewellery of beautiful diamonds, luxurious gemstones, set in gold. ☀️ As a third generation jeweller, growing up with my grandmother who started the jewellery trade, I have been enamoured by the art and science of gemmology.

Now that I am living in London as a medical doctor, the same passion for art and science has fused into aesthetic medicine.

I am obsessive and perfectionistic with each and every aface that I treat.
