We are a business established in 1977 making skin care products such as hand cream and face cream that contain pure Cornish honey. Honey is a natural antibacterial and attracts moisture, thus helping your skin to remain healthy and moisturised. We also make specialist products for people with dry skin conditions, as well as shampoo, shower gel and bubblebath.

Looking after bees is fascinating but it’s also a big responsibility.
From checking hive health to making sure they have enough space and food, there’s always something happening in the apiary.
But seeing the bees thriving and producing beautiful honey makes it all worthwhile.

Did you know a single worker bee only produces about 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime?
The "Waggle Dance": To tell other bees where to find food, they perform a figure-of-eight dance, with the intensity of the "waggling" indicating distance.
Long-Lasting Honey: Honey has an almost infinite shelf life; edible honey was even found in King Tut’s 2,000-year-old tomb.

🌼 From flower to jar 🍯
Every jar of honey starts with thousands of trips by our bees collecting nectar from local flowers.
A single bee may visit up to 2,000 flowers in a day, and the whole colony works together to turn that nectar into honey.
To produce just 1 pound (454g) of honey, bees in a hive must visit 2 million flowers and fly over 55,000 miles.
That’s why local honey is so special — it reflects the flowers and landscape around us.
Nothing added. Nothing taken away. Just pure honey.
🐝 Look closely at the bees…
Some of these workers are returning to the hive carrying bright yellow pollen on their legs.
That pollen feeds the developing young bees inside the hive.
Different flowers produce different colours of pollen, which means the bees are visiting lots of different plants around the area.

After a long winter keeping warm inside the hive, the sunshine yesterday had our bees busy again.
Watch closely and you’ll see workers returning with pollen on their legs — the first sign that spring is getting underway for the colony.
Every trip these bees make helps build the honey and beeswax that goes into the products we make in the shop.
