ONE YEAR ago today, and this deserves a shout out.
Abigail went on her first run… annoying as I’d already just gone for a run, but I said I’ll come support on my bike. As you can see on the text, she was saying “I can’t run, just let you…”
I have you know she stop-started, but she wasn’t slow and she didn’t give up…
Bear in mind she’d only had a baby maybe 7 months prior to this. Anyways, I was buzzing she wanted to get into running… so we went for her first run, and then Off Grid Society started.
Abbie is there every week, she’s missed maybe 3 runs, but she’s shown up, covered, and been a delight to run with, and also cheers on others…
It’s funny as I said we’d be signing up to a half marathon soon, she didn’t think so… but look who’s got a half marathon booked for June this year?
Who also said she couldn’t run 10k, and now has not 1 BUT 2 medals. And I’ve ran a 10k with her, which was supposed to be 7, but I said f**k it, let’s do 10, and she agreed 😂
So it just goes to show, people who say “I can’t run”… this is living proof you can.
Abbie, you should be so proud of yourself. You’ve ran continuously every week, and you even won the step challenge. You don’t give yourself enough credit, you really don’t…
So here’s a little recap of how far you’ve come 🥰 thank you for being part of the community and my best bud xx

We head out together, run up the Nickey Line, and no one gets left behind I’ll be with you 💖
