A little gentle reminder 🩷

Most of my lovely clients already know and respect my no children policy, and I’m always so grateful for that.

Recently, I’ve had two occasions where clients have arrived with children and, unfortunately, I’ve had to turn them away. I genuinely hate being put in that position, so I wanted to pop a little reminder on here to hopefully avoid it happening again. 🤍

The main reason for this policy is safety. The salon is a working treatment environment with professional products, equipment and hot tools, and many of the treatments I carry out require precision, concentration and my full attention.

I completely understand that children can naturally become restless or bored during an appointment and may need their parent’s attention. However, there are stages of treatments where interruptions simply aren’t safe or practical, which is why the salon isn’t a suitable environment for little ones.

I also completely understand the childcare juggle — I’m a parent too! I have to arrange childcare to be here for your appointments and sometimes have to take time off when I simply don’t have it. I also know many of my clients jump through hoops to arrange childcare for their appointments, which is why I have to be fair and consistent with everyone. 🩷

Please ensure childcare is arranged for the full duration of your appointment. Unfortunately, if you arrive with a child, I won’t be able to carry out your treatment and my usual cancellation policy will still apply.

This policy comes from a place of safety and fairness, not a lack of understanding. I really do understand that life with little ones doesn’t always go to plan!
