What a day 😞

A big thank you for all my lovely cards, flowers, messages and kind words over the past few weeks. I have the most incredible set of clients that I now call my friends ❤️

So this is the end of this page but if you haven’t added me on my fb then please do. I want to stay in contact with everyone I’m invested in your lives and that is something I’ve loved, that you have trusted me with private information and on many occasions we’ve had tears but also some fantastic giggles too.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, my journey The Academy Heywood has now come to an end but it’s going become an exciting new clinic where I will still be visiting!!!!

So now I’ve put the chocolate and mince pies down I thought I’d best take a look at my work calendar!!!!

So I have some availability next week still, and then the following week (9th onwards) my days change slightly due to starting another job.

All late appointments will be a Tuesday instead of Thursday and I’ll be working a full day Monday too. Saturday appointments will slowly be phased out over the month too.

So if you need any appointments please get in touch asap as appointments will be limited before I close on 30th jan 😢

That’s it I’m done for 2022….. back Wednesday 4th January 2023 for 4 weeks only 🤯🤯🤯

I want to say a massive thank you to everyone for their beautiful comments and messages after my announcement earlier this week. It was a lot to take on that evening so I apologise for not replying to you all. I feel so much better now to have it out there and I’m honestly now looking forward to jan and saying some emotional goodbyes to everyone. I will only be working the beginning of the week as I start my new job the 2nd week in jan 🙈

A 2nd huge thank you to all of you incredible generous people who have given me gifts and
tips especially this year which let’s face it has been a tough one!!!

So I have rehearsed this post in my head so many times over the past few weeks and it never gets any easier!!!

As of 31st January 2023 I will be closing down beauty by Donna and the academy. I’ve found the past 3 months incredibly hard financially with the increased energy bills and overall increase in cost of living.
My salon is a place I love to spend time in but I’m working 40 hours a week just to pay the bills and after 22 years I am bowing out and having a complete career change.
I hope you can understand my reasoning it’s been a tough decision to make but I have to put my husband and children first ultimately.

I want to thank every single person that has supported me but unfortunately it’s been taken out of all our controls by the cost of living crisis.

Speaking with clients, it’s clear that everyone is feeling the strain of life this Christmas ❤️

Never have I had a week like this, since Monday I’ve had 13 cancellations. Lots of illness, it’s a worrying time for this industry and hearing about 3 of my industry colleagues this week closing their salons makes 2023 a worrying time!!!
