Who else is embracing their granny era right now? 😅🤪

I’m 40 this year and have fully embraced what 20-year-old me would have deemed “boring” (and, truly, it’s all I ever wanted 🤪)

The beautiful thing about ageing is that I no longer feel like I have to wear a mask or be someone I’m not.

I am finally comfortable and content enough to truly be myself. 🥰

I’ve always been introverted. Always been a little bit boring. But, when I was younger, I forced myself to go out and try to shimmer and shine.

When my hormones collapsed and fell apart a few years ago (and PMS, heavy bleeding, painful periods and ALL the anxiety and insomnia became my every day), I had to rebuild and reevaluate. And it’s then that I really leaned into my natural (read: granny) state. 🪴💫

I realised I couldn’t wear a mask anymore - and I didn’t want to.

swallowing things down and hiding myself was one of the reasons why I developed an underactive thyroid, and part of the reason why I needed a huge ovarian cyst removed. ❤️

So, I welcome my boring era - and my body, health and hormones do too! I swear it’s one of the biggest reasons I found hormone balance again, and walked away from period problems 🥰💃

My idea of the perfect life 👇🏼

🍹 No alcohol (I’ve been alcohol free for years, and now sip chamomile tea instead of cocktails.)
😴 Sloooooow mornings and zero rushing (plus a croissant or two!)
☕️ Switching nightclubs for coffee dates or walks
🧘 Swapping HIIT for Pilates, Yin Yoga, weight training and belly dancing
☀️ Morning light exposure Every. Single. Day
🛁 Magnesium salt baths and Sunday baking sessions with my boys
🍏 Farmer’s markets for fun weekends

What does your boring era look like? 🥰👇🏼
