We would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to Shakir JD 🫶

Shakir has been part of the Lourenço Barbers team since joining us as an apprentice in 2019, and it has been amazing to watch him grow both personally and professionally over the years.

As such, it’s a bittersweet moment for all of us, as Shakir’s last day with Lourenço Barbers will be the 27th June 2026.

While we’re sad to see him leave, we are incredibly proud of everything he has achieved and excited to see where his next chapter takes him. We wish him every success and happiness in his future endeavours and thank him for everything he has contributed to the team.

Please join us in showing our appreciation for Shakir and wishing him every success in his next chapter!

🎊 Our 12th Anniversary! 🎊

On Tuesday 4th November 2025 marks 12 years since Lourenço Barbers opened its doors, and what an amazing 12 years it has been so far! We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received over the years.

Through this support, we have been able to continue to provide the highest quality grooming services, and receive some amazing achievements that recognise our commitment to you all including achieving the South East Regional Winner of "The Great British Hair & Beauty Awards 2021" and also South England Prestige Awards Barbershop of the Year 2023/2024 just to name a few.

Without the support we have experienced, we would not be able to reach these achievements, and therefore this 12th anniversary is a time to reflect on the Lourenço Barbers community as a whole.

We look forward to continuing to serve you all for many more anniversaries to come! With a profound gratitude in our hearts, the Lourenço Barbers team thanks you all for trusting us time and time again.

🖍️ Crayon Creativity 🖍️

We recently had Dan Ward and his beautiful children visit us, where they both got crayon creative and made some beautiful art pieces whilst daddy had his pampering session!💇

We just have to show the artwork off as we were so impressed with what they created and how joyful they both were during the drawing process! 🖼️🎨

This definitely inspired us to try our own hand at some artwork, what about you? 🧑‍🎨

Hygiene Safety is Our Priority 💈🧼

Recent news has highlighted concerns about cross-infections in some barber shops due to poor hygiene practices, and we want to take this opportunity to reassure our valued clients that your health and safety is always top of our mind here at Lourenço Barbers. We also have an inhouse consultant Trichologist, so we are very well aware of cross infections and how to avoid them. Additionally, we also run Barbering Apprenticeships to train our staff, which are awarded by NVQ and VTCT, requiring extensive hygiene standards training.

Here are examples of how we maintain the highest hygiene standards:

✔️ Clean gowns are always used,
✔️ Tools are suspended in Barbicide disinfectant between clients,
✔️ 99.9% alcohol spray is used on tools between clients,
✔️ Single-use razor blades are used exclusively,
✔️ Fresh, clean towels for each individual client,
✔️ High standards of cleanliness in all workspaces.

We believe in clean cuts and clean practices. Therefore, you can be sure that when you visit us, your safety is our always our priority.
