💅 An Important Update from Me — Please Read! 💅

As your nail technician, your health and safety is always my absolute priority, so I want to keep you fully informed about some important changes happening in our industry.

What’s changing with ingredients?

You may have heard about two chemicals — HEMA and TPO — that have been widely used in builder gels and gel colours for many years. Here’s what you need to know:

🔬 TPO is a chemical used to help gel products cure under UV/LED light. It has now been banned across the EU and the UK ban comes into full effect by February 2027, after being classified as potentially harmful to reproduction based on scientific studies.

⚠️ HEMA is a bonding agent used in gel products that is a known cause of allergic reactions and skin sensitisation — with studies linking it to the vast majority of allergic reactions from nail cosmetics. It is currently restricted to professional use only, with increasing pressure on the industry to move away from it entirely.

What does this mean for you? 🤍

From 1st July, I will be transitioning to safer, HEMA-free and TPO-free products across all my services for every single client. I’m not waiting until the law forces the change — I’m making the switch now because you deserve the very best and safest experience from day one.
