Happy 16th Birthday to me 🎉🎉🎉

16 years ago I found myself at a crossroads …

I had finished working as a manager for Whitbread Restaurants and I was waitressing in the evenings to fit around my 2-year-old daughter, relying on my parents to help care for her.

I didn’t know what to do next. I just knew I needed something close to home, something that worked around my daughter and something that would allow me to keep a roof over our heads.

A friend suggested I train as a nail technician … and here I am 16 years later still going strong.

Through recessions, Covid and everything life has thrown my way the secret to my success has been simple - I just kept going.

It hasn’t been easy. Not even close. From starting at my dining room table with just six colours … to building the full-time, thriving business I run today - it’s been a tough and an emotional journey.

I am immensely proud of everything I have achieved.

To every single client who has supported me over the years - past, present and those still to come - thank you. Your loyalty, trust and support mean more than you will ever know 💖

It never fails to amaze me that the more successful I have become, the more “opinions” seem to appear.

Funny that.

After 16 years of being a Nail Technician … 16 years of Building, Learning, Investing, Perfecting my craft and continuing to invest in my Development.

It’s never the people on my level doing the talking.

It’s always the ones watching from the sidelines.

The ones who don’t see the early mornings, the long days, the years it took for me to get here … and yet they feel qualified to comment anyway.

Here’s the truth:

I didn’t build my business to be liked by everyone.

I built it to provide an income for myself and my family.

I will always charge my worth, protect my standards and stay in my lane.

If that makes people uncomfortable … that’s not my problem.
