I genuinely forgot my skin used to look like that. š¤Æ
The photo at the start was me in my 30s, before I knew anything about skin. I was battling melasma, an impaired skin barrier and congestion. I was self-conscious and I wouldnāt leave the house without makeup, even if I was just popping to the shop.
ā¢ I didnāt wear SPF
ā¢ I barely used moisturiser
ā¢ I slept in my makeup more often than Iād like to admit
ā¢ And I scrubbed the s**t out of my skin with St. Ives Apricot Scrub because I genuinely thought āsqueaky clean and tightā meant it was clean š¬
When in reality, I was completely stripping my skin barrier and then wondering why my skin was constantly fighting back.
Things changed when I started properly learning about skin. Not just which products were āgoodā, but what was actually happening underneath it all. Why the skin barrier mattered, why SPF wasnāt optional and why certain ingredients had a purpose, and how hormones and UV were both playing a part in my melasma.
And then the same applied to treatments. I stopped looking at treatments as something you just do because theyāre popular or promise a certain result, and started understanding why you would choose one treatment over another, when the skin is ready for it and when it actually needs something completely different.
The second clip is me now at 44. I still have pores, texture and lines because itās real skin, but itās healthier, brighter, stronger and my melasma is under control.
My skin still changes with hormones, stress and life, but Iām so much more confident in it now. I donāt constantly feel like I need to cover it up anymore.
And thatās exactly how I work with my clients now. Iām not interested in just booking you in for whatever treatment you think you need. I want to understand whatās actually going on with your skin, what could be contributing to it, and what it genuinely needs. Then we build a plan around that, from homecare to treatments, and keep adapting it as your skin changes.

āBespokeā gets thrown around a lot in skincareā¦ but hereās what it actually means.
Two clients can both tell me, āMy skin looks dull.ā
But one could be dehydrated and barrier-stressed.
The other could have congestion and surface build-up.
Same complaint. Completely different skin.
Treating them exactly the same would make no sense.
Your concern tells me whatās bothering you.
Your skin tells me what to do about it.

If you could sum up my working life in one pictureā¦ š
Skin expert. Clinic owner. Caffeine fuelled.
Usually thinking about someoneās skin, treatment plans, products, results, admin, contentā¦ and what Iāve forgotten to do next.
Add in the school run either side, Mum life and about 400 tabs open in my head at all times and honestlyā¦ pretty accurate. š¤£š¤

Somewhere along the way, completely normal skin became something we thought needed fixing.
Pores. Fine lines. Texture. Movement.
Theyāre all normal.
Of course we can improve pigmentation, breakouts, redness, hydration, collagen and the overall health of your skin. Thatās what Iām here for.
But Iām not trying to erase every line, pore or bit of texture and make your skin look filtered.
I want your skin healthier, stronger and looking bloody good, while still looking like you.
I think weāve got a little bit too obsessed with āperfectā skin.

I donāt normally share things like this on my business page, but I couldnāt let today pass without saying something.
Such devastating news in the search for Noah Woods š As a mum to a little boy the same age, this has affected me deeply, and I know so many people across the country will be feeling the same tonight.
Everyone was hoping and praying he would be found safe. My heart breaks for his family and everyone who loves him. I canāt begin to imagine what theyāre going through.
I think a lot of us will be holding our little ones that little bit tighter tonight. In such a short space of time, Noahās little face touched so many hearts.
