This beautiful lady gave me the task of lifting her BLACK box dyed hair(of 4 years) to something a little softer before being a brides maid at her brothers wedding next month.
It wasn’t easy.
I lightly cleanse to start, then again using something a little more heavy duty.
Most of the hair lifted fairly well, however we had a rather large band in the front sections of the head, that was very resistant. It did not want to budge.
So from box dye black, I managed 2 levels of lift, to a Brown.
Adding some lighter pieces, again, the front sections were resistant. K18 was used throughout this hair transformation journey. Ensuring the best hair health. I also sent my guest home with K18 after care to build strength with her hair, in turn making it colour ready for the next round.
Sometimes it’s small steps to build a bigger change.
K18 at home, less heat, using heat protection before styling, investing in a decent hair conditioning mask, will all help strengthen and give longevity for your colour.

We ve been working towards lifting through this dark brown box dye, without having to go through the long process of stripping all over, esp on this length hair.
The health of the hair is really important to both of us, so I opted for minimal foils using bleach, always using K18 each step of the process. Finishing with a long soak using L’Oréal absolute Repair conditioning hair mask.
Locks like this need looking after.
A good trim, which I know for you long hair ladies is painful sometimes, but it’s so worth it.

So I ve been away up country again!!
This time to salon, where and herself spilt the tea with top tips inside the hair styling world.
Both, are absolutely lovely, very down to earth, and super knowledgeable and approachable. And successful!!
I’m continuous learning in this hair world. It’s so important, not only to be able to offer you, the client a wealth of expertise, but for myself also, to feel inspired, confident and excited to share and try everything! Keeps me fresh!

Caramel swirl.
This lived in look will last u months. In fact, my guest has the full head done once a year.. I think this time it’s been 18 month.
As the tones fade, we either embrace a lighter look for a while or pop back for a quick toner, taking only 40 mins to do.
