5 weeks post op and today is a pain day.
I've had some really really good days recently, some big leaps in recovery (hello again side sleeping! 🙌😴😍) but I need to remember that my bones are not yet healed, my pelvis and hip socket are held together with screws and also remember to stay within my limitations to stop the days like today where I can barely get out of bed and need all my pain meds again.

Been quiet on here last few days as unfortunately my little girl Amy has been unwell.

She started with a little cold which, as always, went to her chest (takes after me in that way). Unfortunately it got worse and she was struggling for breath so had an ambulance out at 3am Saturday night/Sunday morning and we are still in East Surrey hospital now.

She's doing much better and back to her chatty cheeky self but her oxygen levels are still not maintaining themselves so she's still on supplementary oxygen into her nose, regular nebulisers and steroids plus antibiotics.

They all seem to be doing their job and she's getting there slowly so next job is for her to maintain her sats whilst sleeping/resting with the oxygen turned off, something she so far hasn't managed to do. They've also said we will be heading home with inhalers as they suspect she has asthma (again taking after me 😔)

Not a great start to 2022 but onwards and upwards! Thumbs up from Amy as she's feeling a bit better today 🥰❤️, waiting for the doctors to come and we'll find out if we can go home today or if we're here for another sleepover.

Have had a rough few days but I'm up, dressed and planning on sewing and studying today.

Cold Sundays mean family film time.

Today has been hard.
Need to keep reminding myself that this is now healing pain rather than pain from the initial problem.

I'll put my positive pants back on again soon (with assistance most likely! 😂) but for today I'm going to feel sorry for myself and take all the oramorph I'm allowed.

No make up but I've got perfume on for the first time in a while (royal 362 if you're wondering 😜 don't forget there's still 22% off every single product until the 20th Jan!) and feel much more myself than recent weeks!

Giving my husband some peace and quiet and have decamped to my parents house for the day.
