The first year in aesthetics can be exciting, rewarding, and at times, incredibly humbling.

Many people enter the industry expecting confidence to arrive quickly. In reality, confidence is built through repetition, education, experience, and learning from every patient interaction.

You may not have a fully booked diary immediately.
You may question your progress.
You may wonder if everyone else is moving faster than you.

What matters is staying focused on your foundations.

Prioritise competence before popularity.
Prioritise safety before speed.
And remember that trust is earned over time.

The practitioners who build lasting careers are usually the ones who remain patient, continue learning, and focus on doing things properly.

Learning is growing.

Not every lesson comes from success.

Some come from experience.
Some come from challenges.
Some come from mistakes.

The important thing is to remain curious, continue learning, and never become complacent.

Growth in aesthetics, as in life, is rarely instant. It is built through consistency, education, and a willingness to keep improving.

Things I accidentally get paid for.
(Aesthetic Nurse Educator Edition)

- Sharing my passion for aesthetic medicine with future practitioners.
- Teaching students what not to do before teaching them what to do.
- Looking at faces for an unusually long amount of time.
- Repeating that patient safety will always come before speed, trends, or ego.
- Helping students build confidence, competence, and clinical judgement.

Educator. Injector. Mentor.

Somehow I built a career around the things I care most about — patient safety, education, and helping others grow in this industry.

And honestly, I would not change it for anything.

I believe good education is built on honesty, support, and strong clinical foundations.

I will never withhold knowledge that could help you grow into a safer and more confident practitioner.

I will never rush your learning, because competence takes time, repetition, and understanding.

I will never create an environment where judgement outweighs support.

I will never prioritise passing a course over building genuine confidence and competence.

And I will never teach something simply because it is popular. Everything I teach should be evidence-based, clinically appropriate, and centred around patient safety.

6 things I wish I understood before becoming an aesthetic injector.

1. Good results alone are not enough.
2. Natural results are often the hardest to achieve.
3. This industry can be emotionally challenging.
4. There are sacrifices behind growth.
5. Complications and side effects are part of medicine.
6. Comparison can become very distracting.

If you are entering aesthetics, focus on building strong foundations first. Confidence and growth follow with time, consistency, and experience.

Teaching a full diary is one thing.

Taestheticstraining patient base is something very different.

Because long-term success in aesthetics is not built on one-off treatments.

It is built on trust, consistency, and delivering results patients choose to come back for.

That is the standard I teach.

Keep learning. Keep refining your craft.

One day, the reputation you admire in others will quietly become your own.

The injectors who build long-term trust in this industry are rarely the loudest. They are usually the ones who stay consistent, continue learning, and take patient safety seriously every step of the way.

What no one tells you before becoming a nurse injector.

You start quietly.
No fully booked diary. No instant confidence. No long client list.

Trust in this industry is built gradually through consistency, patient care, and safe practice.

Aesthetics is also far more than “beauty treatments.”
It requires anatomy knowledge, clinical judgement, patient assessment, and responsibility.

And yes, impostor syndrome is very real.

The confidence comes later. Through repetition, education, and experience.

The goal was never to train the highest number of injectors.

It was to become the educator students genuinely trust, return to, and recommend.

There is a big difference between simply delivering a course and genuinely supporting somebody’s growth in this industry.

For me, good training has always been about building safe, knowledgeable, and confident practitioners long-term.

Things you should know about me before booking a training course.

I genuinely care about the people I train.

I understand how intimidating aesthetics can feel in the beginning, which is why I believe students should feel supported, guided, and safe to learn without judgement.

My goal is not simply to teach treatments. It is to help build safe, confident, and capable practitioners who understand the responsibility that comes with this industry.

Your progress matters to me long after the training day itself.
