Received a text from a family member or what you think is your child claiming to have lost or broken their phone, they may go on to ask you for money.
Don't be tempted to transfer money immediately, enquire further by asking who specifically it is by name or asking for a voice note, or try calling them on the number you have in your contacts, ask if they sent the message, alternatively, try and contact someone who may be with them, to confirm the text is genuine.
