Warren got this video of me the other day and I don’t think my clients need proof my little manic brain doesn’t switch off, but this sums up life outside of work. Honey Rose (at 8 winter hey lane) is turning 6 years this September, so yep that’s me writing little notes and bagging up little goodies for our regulars 🎈 Owning a salon means actually carrying our treatments whilst your there, cleaning and making bookings, outside of the salon I’m budgeting, ordering stock, doing the salon laundry, advertising and keeping up with social media, doing my books, paying the tax woman (why its always referred to as a man 🤷🏼‍♀️) payroll, making sure our licenses and insurances are in date… the list goes on. But on a personal level I’m thinking about one of my ladies getting married this week, I’m wondering how Mara is getting on with her new job, I’m thinking about Heidi starting her fertility journey, I’m worried about Carol who’s split from her husband of 30 years (names made up as examples) in our industry clients become friends and it’s much more than just doing nails or lashes. I’m so proud of my business it’s faced covid, staff come and go, a current financial crisis and it’s seen me through some of my most difficult years, some people think I was crazy to work through three rounds of IVF and several endo surgeries, but a lot of you pulled me through. We’ve laughed together, cried together and that’s why it’s more than just the logistics of a business. Forever grateful for Beth and my Mum…🩷 Here’s to us 🥂 and many more years…
