Saturday 2nd May: A full Moon 🌝

We were all set to go .fightingchampionships after a crazy 6 hour journey to get there checking
In at 3am I met Blake in the Midlands on Saturday with Carter at the venue for 11 for a MEDICAL where everyone and EVERYTHING is checked over.

The show and set up looked amazing, blake made weight at 60kg when he usually does 62-63.
Professional as ever, I've never heard blake complain once in the 3 years I've coached him never mind the cuts. Blake done 7kg this week alone.

We got in the ring and waited referee instructions to start the contest and someone nudged the officials to tell them that our opponent got stopped 3 weeks ago and should be on a 30 medical suspension.

Poor duty of care by the opposition corner for their man if thats the case at least wait the 30 days before re-entering compition again.

The bout is called off. I'm lost for words to be honest.
I'm just heartbroken for Blake mostly.

I'm proud as ever in blake in his whole approach to his martial arts and I am very happy I get to guide him through a lot of it.

He's got lots in the pipeline with MMA for the next few months and we'll revisit his striking at a later date.

When preparation meets opportunity.

Connor moves onto 1-0 after a 4th round TKO against a tough boy from Darlington. Connor managed to keep up the fast pace that was set by the two boys. After being swept and dumped on the floor after a few kick attempts. Connor listened to the corner between rounds and worked on making some changes then connor matched the pace again, but putting his foot on the gas this time and an accumulation of none-stop work the referee started to intervene for the red corner rounds 2,3 & 4. Before waving it off, the contest was a hard hitting-action packed bout. Well done to the young lads for putting on a performance well beyond their years 👏
