You may have seen at-home dermarollers and wondered, “Why would I need professional microneedling?”🤔

Although both treatments use tiny needles to create controlled stimulation in the skin, they are not the same treatment and don’t deliver the same results.

🏠 At-home dermarolling

Dermarollers generally use a roller head which moves across the skin. Because you are applying it yourself, the pressure and angle can vary, meaning the treatment is much less controlled. At-home rollers are also typically designed to work more superficially.

✨ Professional microneedling

Microneedling uses a professional device with multiple tiny needles that move vertically into the skin at a controlled depth. This allows the treatment to be tailored to your individual skin and concerns, while creating a more precise and consistent treatment across the area.

So while an at-home dermaroller may give your skin some stimulation, professional microneedling allows for much greater precision, control and customisation.

And remember — with microneedling, more depth doesn't automatically mean better results.The treatment should always be tailored to your skin, your concerns and your skin's tolerance.

If you're looking for genuine skin rejuvenation rather than simply a quick at-home treatment, professional microneedling may be the better option for you.

After lip filler, it’s completely normal to experience:

✨ Swelling (which can be worse the next morning)
✨ Bruising & tenderness
✨ Mild redness
✨ Lips feeling tight or firm
✨ Temporary unevenness while swelling settles

Your lips can take 1–2 weeks to fully settle, so don’t judge the final result straight away!

🚨NOT NORMAL:
‼️Severe or worsening pain
‼️unusual white/grey/blue skin
‼️cold areas
‼️blistering or signs of infection.
