Stressed? Achy or stiff muscles? In pain? Book a bespoke holistic massage from a Jing Trained Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist in Hove.
I have seen the fantastic effects massage can have on people’s lives, mental health and pain conditions and am passionate about delivering treatments based on the biopsychosocial model of pain – understanding and treating the person as a whole and basing their massage treatment around what they personally need to get out of it. I work with each individual client to work out an outcome-based, 6-week treatment plan to address chronic musculoskeletal pain, pain arising from poor posture and stress-related aches and pains. Knowledge of anatomy helps me to get quickly to the source of the pain and using a fusion of various massage techniques – including fascial work, trigger point therapy, sports stretching and acupressure – I can increase range of movement, decrease pain and lower stress levels.

Back to reality after 2 blissful myofascial workshop days learning all about working with the ribs, thorax and abdomen. This myofascial masterclass was really eye opening around breath and how hands on bodywork can help create space for breathing.
Anyone with asthma, long covid, COPD, those stuck in respiratory tension or athletes wanting more breath capacity will benefit from these new moves!
Having experienced a whole load of this treatment what really struck me was how calm I felt. I'm really looking forward to introducing this work to some of my clients who suffer with anxiety issues.

Whenever Zeus isn't here it's the first question I get asked "no Zeus today?". He's such a little presence snoozing in the corner that it does feel like something is missing.
Although never ideal when he decides the middle of the treatment is a good time for a scratch and lick session. That is rare thankfully 🤣

Perimenopause and menopause can be genuinely brutal. I know that first hand 🙋♀️
When I started mine it hit hard. And it's that experience that's made me so passionate about supporting women going through the same upheaval, because that's exactly what it is. An upheaval.
What I love about the way I work is that it's rooted in real clinical research.
These dissertations from , by Frances Birch, Iona Jones, Natalia Alonso and Mandy Hurworth, look at the effects of Jing Method advanced clinical massage on symptoms like anxiety, low mood, irritability, exhaustion and joint pain in perimenopausal and menopausal women.
The results are genuinely impressive. And I see it in my treatment room every single week 💪
If you're in Brighton or Hove and you're in the thick of it right now, this is what I do. I'm currently accepting new clients and I would love to support you through it.
Drop me a DM and let's have a chat.

Why are my shoulders up by my ears?
Stiff neck and shoulders and the rise of the shoulders towards the ears is a common subconscious reaction to stress. The tension that accumulates in the mind often overflows and is stored in the body. It is a common bodily response to store this overflow of tension in the trapezius.
This is probably the most common move I do in my massage treatments, pincer grasp to the upper trapezius. It feels great and helps to ease tension and tightness out of the muscle.
