I hope you are all staying safe and well in this uncertain times. I notice in last few weeks I have had a few views so here is an update.
Guidelines are changing all the time, unfortunately I am without laptop at present, being repaired, so am not able to read the small print. The last headlines I read stated mobile therapist were still not able to work. With regard to working from home I need to check complete guidelines. As soon as given the go ahead I will post relevant information.
Thank you for your interest, stay safe everyone.
Sue.
I will no longer be doing treatments at Eclips hair and beauty. From Monday 16th March I will offer treatments at clients home, within a 3 mile radius, or at my home address in Armitage Bridge.

Thank you, Sue.
Coronavirus is causing great concern all around the world and apparently there is a short supply of various items, e.g. hand gel.
To combat this you can easily make your own hand gel using aloe Vera gel and essential oils, lemon, lavender, lemongrass, thyme, tea tree to name a few. Use your old hand gel containers or similar, put aloe in them add oil or a combination of oils, place too on and shake well to distribute the oil in the gel.
Please note Tea tree can be an irritant in restive skin so use with care in small amounts.
Using oils when cleaning around the house is another way to help prevent infections. In a large spray bottle put a few drops of oil then add a small amount of colorless alcohol, this is so oils disperse in water, too up with water. This can also be used as an air freshener.
Not only is this a good way to help prevent infections it gives your house a lovely clean aroma.
Stay safe everyone. Any questions regarding oils please don't hesitate to contact me.

Are you ready for the " holiday season "?
Have you made your Christmas list?
It can be a such a stressful time both before and during Christmas that we forget to look after ourselves, too busy making sure everything is just so. What better way to take time out than to have a relaxing holistic treatment to help you prepare your mind and body.
Better still add one of my Gift vouchers to your Christmas list!!
Gift vouchers are available either for a specific treatment or the value of your choice. Start dropping those hints now.
At this time of the year I like to fill my home with the scent of Christmas, frankincense, cinnamon, and spruce
are among my favourites. I find the best way is through a diffuser as this is so safe, no naked flame or smoke. Having just painted my main living area this was how I prevented the room from smelling of paint for hours afterwards, it really works also adding a few drops of essential oil to the paint helps.
Please contact me if you need any further information.

Hi, summer may be over but we are still seeing some sunshine, even if the temperature has dropped. Taking the time to go for a walk, if possible, will help your feeling of well being as well as keeping your body moving.
The way to enhance these feelings is to have an aromatherapy treatment, to nourish your body and show it how much you appreciate your body.
Did you know that carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils, not only to ensure safe use of EO's but they also have nutritive and healing properties of their own.
Both Almond and Jojoba have shown to be beneficial in treating dry skin, psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis.
Coconut oil can aid wound healing as well as being an excellent hair conditioner.
To take advantage of the special offers, £5 off first treatment, have a treatment before 21st December to be entered into prize draw.
Please call or message me to book a treatment.
Sue.
I apologise for not posting for a while but am now back up to 100% and looking forward to giving you regular updates/information.
It is that time of year when the nights are drawing in and we just want to relax on an evening, what better way to enhance that feeling than an aromatherapy treatment.
Essential oils have a direct effect on our emotional area of the brain therefore helping you escape from work and worries. Oils used are both clients choice and expectations from treatment and there are many that can be used either on their own or a synergistic blend of a few oils.
A full consultation is taken prior to treatment to ensure both treatment and oils chosen are safe to use for individual client as some essential oils have contraindications, with some medication and medical conditions.
This is one of the reasons a therapist using essential oils should be a Qualified Clinical Aromatherapist and have valid insurance cover.
I am qualified, a member of International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists and have insurance through the company recommended by IFPA.
Now for special offers, £5 off first treatment whether you have a coupon or not.
Anyone receiving a treatment between now and December 21st will be entered into a draw, the prize being £20 voucher.
Vouchers are available to buy, a good choice for Christmas presents.
If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or via website.

Another two oils today the first being.....
Eucalyptus ( eucalyptus globulus and radiata ) often associated with colds, sinus problems as it is a very good expectorant. Adding a few drops to a bowl of hot water which you place in bedroom aids breathing as you sleep.
Another way to use this oil is adding a few drops to coconut oil then massaging through hair to relieve itchy scalp and cleanse the hair. For best results leave in hair for at least 20 mins before washing, can be left longer.
It is a good cleanser and can be used in homemade hand cleansers, air fresheners and laundry products.
Rosemary ( rosmarinus officinalis ) a popular herb in the kitchen and so easy to grow.
The essential oil has many uses being both a mental and physical stimulant and is said to stimulate hair growth.
Mentally, rosemary can aid brain function and improve memory. It is helpful in treating anxiety and depression.
Physically it can help to relieve muscular and arthritic pain.
Human studies have shown that rosemary essential oil can normalize blood pressure of people who have low blood pressure.
As always please take care if using essential oils and consult a qualified person like myself.
