A momentous day…Bella having the very last sit on my lovely beauty bed before it goes to its new home.

I’ve lost count of how many clients and friends have fallen asleep on there over the years.

It’s been privy to many secrets, heard all about births, deaths, marriages, divorces, affairs, worries, fears, laughter, tears, holidays, dreams and so much more…thank heavens it can’t talk, lol.

A new chapter is pending…so a massive thank you to everyone who has graced my beauty bed over the last 20 years and here’s to new beginnings 🩷

Well that went well…not!!🙈

After my third failed attempt to return to work whilst living with Long Covid it’s time for me to down tools for a while.

I hope it’s not forever but after six months of dealing with this bloody virus and it’s after effects I am just unable to carry on.

It’s absolutely devastating after 30+ years in this industry, 20 of which I have been self employed that it’s come to this.

I hope I will come back eventually but the one thing I’ve learnt about Long Covid is that it’s so unpredictable. Every day is different, symptoms come and go then new ones appear…it’s certainly not ‘just a cold’ for some people. In fact millions are currently affected across the world. I really hope it doesn’t happen to you.

I’m posting this tentatively, with crossed fingers and toes.
Dealing with bloody Long Covid (can’t say it without swearing🙈) is not for the faint hearted that’s for sure.

I am not recovered, I still have flare ups that can last weeks but I am trying to slowly get back to work in some way.

Appointments are very spaced out as I literally have to rest between each client, so it’s not ideal…but hopefully keeping everything paced out will allow me to gradually increase my workload.

It’ll be a slow process and probably there will be set backs along the way….but I am trying my best. ❤️

Hello my lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well, it feels like ages since I’ve seen any of you.
I’m planning to come back to work in a couple of weeks…but…it will have to be a phased return (doctors orders).

Covid has left me with a slightly dodgy heart so the only way I can work will be two clients per day on alternate days so that I have a rest day between.
I know it’s a total pain and I definitely don’t expect you all to come back to me, please don’t worry about that. Once a client, always a client…you are welcome back anytime. I totally appreciate you might prefer to stay with another salon who has more availability.

Clients who do have appointments already booked in, I will contact first and tweak them if necessary.
Then I plan to list all my availability and let you contact me if you would like one of the free appointments.

I’m away from 1st-20th July and I am hoping when I come back we can get back to business as usual!!
