It's me Nic ! Well, how the heck is everyone? I wonder if anyone will see this post ... it has, after all, been 3 years since Highburton Hideaway closed its doors due to a mix of the pandemic and us moving permanently to North Sweden !!

Life is pretty magical here and we love it very much ... there's lots going on ! I don't do treatments anymore but I do write for a regional newspaper, work occasionally at the girls school, I've opened an illustration and art business AND we are opening an AIR BNB !!!

That's quite alot and to keep all those dreams becoming a reality I also set up a new business helping the people I care about, the people who trust me , to save money on their utility bills.

It sounds boring but it is absolutely ESSENTIAL ... I am passionate about keeping money in your pocket as much as possible !! And I can also help people to make some extra money during these crappy financial times.

And that's why I'm here ... you guys all trusted me to be your therapist. We often spoke about personal issues and cried, laughed, celebrated and commiserated together.

Many of you shared your innermost thoughts with me... we spent time putting the world to rights and let's not forget the fact that you guys were physically vulnerable too and let me give you treatments with care and love.

And so, it is my hope that we can help each other again... I can't massage your worries away but I can certainly help to ease your financial ones.

If you would do me the honour of letting me have a chat with you and looking over your bills the two of us to see if I can save you money I would be very grateful.

If you need or want to earn some extra money then I can most definitely help you with that too. I will be your friend and mentor and I will hold your hand throughout and give your bank account a boost.

13 is lucky for some and it turns out its lucky for me !! If I can help 13 more people to either earn or save, I will reach a personal goal I set myself 6 months ago !!

Good afternoon lovelies, I hope you are all well?
I am writing this post to you all with real mixed emotions, the current and over riding one is a whirling dervish of nervousness and excitement in the pit of my tummy. Today is the day that I tell you all that Highburton Hideaway will not be reopening. It has been a very strange and unpredictable 4 months hasn't it? None of us could have anticipated what covid 19 was to bring to our doorsteps, I certainly didn't think I would be closed for 17 weeks!
And while in one instance life has stood still in so many ways, in another, great and exciting things have been happening behind the scenes and to that end a new dream has been born and is rapidly taking shape as reality.
We are moving on... Our beautiful old cottage (400+ years old infact) is going up for sale sometime in the coming few days and while we will be sad to leave her, we are super excited for our next chapter to begin!! We hope that whomever buys our charming home loves her as much as we do... I'm sure you'll agree it's such a calm and peaceful place... This has been our home for well over 20 years and we have not made the choice to leave lightly, but great adventure awaits us!
I want to thank each and every single one of you for helping me do something I love everyday. The Hideaway was never just a business, it was a place where I met the most wonderful, inspiring, kind, funny and caring women. It was a place where we laughed and cried and hugged and forged fantastic friendships. I cherish every memory and every single one of you.
I know some of you will wonder about gift vouchers you have yet to use.
