Snug Aromatics

This is not a Snug related post but it kinda is…..anyone who knows me knows how much I love my pets, they are my family 💕

You will have seen Gin on my stories but unfortunately he went missing last Monday, I only found out on the Wednesday as my husband did not want to worry me before my shop launch 😞

Gin seems to have disappeared without a trace; we have walked miles searching for him, calling him, left posters, contacted the vets, microchip company, added on socials yet there’s no sign of him or no body found near the roads. We are beside ourselves with worry and it has taken the shine off the new shop opening…..the not knowing what has happened to him is difficult to comprehend…..he lives near Ramsgill HG3.

We are now questioning whether he might have been taken and if so, we want to get his beautiful face out there so we can get him back home where he is very loved. We also have his mum Eleisa who is missing him too, as is our dog Buddy 💔

Please , please will you help me and share with as many people and Facebook groups as possible and help to get him home 🙏🙏

We only went and did it and opened our own shop 💕

After a whirlwind month or so, we are now officially open for business at our Lindley store (40 Lidget Street, HD3 3JP).

Thank you .ackroyd.7 for opening our store and for our lovely images and team Snug who I simply would not be here without and all those who got our building ‘shop-ready’ …rendering, painting, building cupboards…..all the work was done by family and friends 💕

Pop and see us - we are open Monday to Saturday 9.30-5.00 (4.30 on Saturdays).

Signage is up……eek…..we are getting closer 😍

I have been a bit quiet on here over the past few weeks as been super busy putting everything in place for our new shop opening next week….

We now have signage…..and internet…..new lights…..painted inside and out…..just need to get the shelves full of our products, and finish the final touches…..

We look forward to welcoming our lovely customers - old and new 💕

A piece of furniture can tell a story….

Meet our cash desk which I bought pre-loved from a lovely man….whilst collecting this piece of furniture I spent 20 minutes talking to its owner….

I was greeted by a 13 year old French bulldog who was totally adorable and snuggled up to me…..her owner said that she was a gift from his late wife…….she herself had a blue frenchie and wanted him to have his own….
In 2020, in the midst of Covid, he lost his wife very suddenly…. The desk was her project…..and he struggled to have it in his home now she had passed - his wife was called Jude….

Well Jude will live on as our cash desk and we have many pre-loved pieces of furniture in our new shop….not because it’s cheaper…..but because, at Snug, we love to share other people’s stories 💕

The past few years have been a challenge for our business…..we have explored lots of different ways to grow our business and reach out to more people…..this has included working weekends, attending markets and events, sometimes in extreme weather conditions; some were successful, others poor with minimal footfall……which is understandable given people are more careful with their money…..this lead us to review our business…..

Earlier this year, we made the decision to opt out of the ‘market scene’ and look at finding premises where we could manufacture and ALSO have our own shop……

We eventually found a high street location in Lindley that suited our needs….

Our aim is to create a community space where people can relax….pause and enjoy the many aromatic products available in the shop….your dog will be welcome too 😍

We have spent the last 8 years growing our product range and we are now confident that we have a wide range of products to FILL A SHOP - all of which will be manufactured in the same building - by hand 🌎

We will also be having a ‘Refillery’ so you can refill your favourite Snug products….

Once settled and ‘up and running’, we will also be offering small workshops in our space and shopping events….

Whilst you process this, we will be getting on with preparing this space for you to come and visit in mid-June 💕

I often get asked which product are you most proud of - hands down, it’s gotta be our plant based multi surface cleaner - not only do I love the product and the results it achieves but the feedback received just confirms this…..

Cleaning with a product that has no harsh chemicals, smells amazing, cleans amazing, lifts your mood whilst also reducing the use of plastic - magic formula 💕💕

Our customers also love the simplicity of the product; the fact that you just pour the contents of a pouch into your 500ml bottle, fill the bottle with tap water, give it a shake and you have a product that can be used on EVERY surface, is naturally ANTIBACTERIAL, naturally DEGREASING, and thanks to the wonderful essential oil properties NATURALLY gets rid of unpleasant odours…….
