As a beauty therapist, people often assume my job is about making people look younger or “perfect.”

But that’s never been what beauty means to me.

Beauty isn’t flawless skin.

It isn’t never ageing.

It isn’t filtering every photo or comparing yourself to someone else.

Real beauty is the confidence that shines through when someone feels comfortable in their own skin.

It’s the smile at the end of a treatment.

It’s walking a little taller.

It’s feeling refreshed, relaxed and remembering that you’re worthy of taking care of yourself.

Yes, I love helping my clients achieve healthy, glowing skin.

But my biggest goal has always been helping women feel confident exactly as they are.

Because confidence will always be more beautiful than perfection. 🤍

✨ What does beauty mean to you?

Some days I feel like I’m carrying the weight of three people.

I’m a mum to one amazing little boy.

I’m navigating divorce.

I’m paying the rent, the bills, keeping a roof over our heads and running a business full time.

Yet somehow, I still feel guilty.

Guilty when I’m working late because the bills need paying.

Guilty when I’m with my son because my business needs me.

Guilty when I’m exhausted because the washing is piling up, dinner needs cooking, homework needs checking, reading needs doing, and tomorrow’s to-do list is already waiting.

People see the business owner.

What they don’t always see is the woman behind it trying to be Mum, CEO, cleaner, cook, taxi driver, homework helper, girlfriend and everything in between.

The truth is, some days I don’t feel like I’m getting any of it right.

But every morning I get up and do it again.

Not because it’s easy.

Because my little boy is watching.

And one day I hope he sees that even when life felt heavy, his mum never stopped showing up.

To every parent doing it mostly alone while trying to hold everything together…

I see you.

How often do you tell yourself…

“I’ll book that facial when work is quieter.”

“I’ll make time for myself after the house is sorted.”

“I’ll relax once everyone else is okay.”

The truth is, there will always be another load of washing, another email to answer, another job on the list.

If we keep waiting for the “perfect time” to look after ourselves, it rarely comes.

Self-care isn’t something you have to earn.

It’s not a reward for being busy enough or productive enough.

It’s part of looking after your wellbeing—physically, mentally and emotionally.

So here’s your little reminder today…

🤍 You are allowed to rest.
🤍 You are allowed to slow down.
🤍 You deserve an hour that’s just for you.

✨ Booking System Update ✨

Just a little update to let all my lovely clients know that I will soon be activating the payment feature on my Fresha booking system from 22nd June.

To secure your appointment, a deposit will be required at the time of booking.

Please also take a moment to read my updated Terms & Conditions, which will be available during the booking process. These include:
• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice and no-show appointments will be charged in accordance with my booking policy.

As a small business, these measures help protect my appointment diary and ensure I can continue offering the best possible service to all my clients.
