Sometimes I stop and think about how quickly life moves.
One minute we’re the child holding someone’s hand.
The next we’re the parent watching our own child grow.
Growing older can feel daunting at times, but what a privilege it is to witness these moments, create these memories and share them with the people we love.
These really are the days we’ll look back on one day and wish we could relive.

People often ask me what I love most about being a beauty therapist.
Of course I love skincare, treatments and helping clients achieve their skin goals.
But what I really love is creating a space where women can pause.
No demands.
No rushing.
No endless to-do lists.
Just an hour to relax, recharge and focus on themselves.
The glow at the end of a treatment is lovely.
But the smile, confidence and sense of calm is what makes it all worthwhile. 🤍

For years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people feel like the very best version of themselves, and I never take that for granted.
As a mum of one amazing boy 💙 and someone who genuinely loves what I do, I’m so grateful for every client who trusts me with their skin, their confidence and often their stories too.

Can I tell you something I’ve been learning?
As mums, we’re really good at looking after everyone else.
The children.
The house.
The partner.
The pets.
The homework.
The washing.
The endless to-do list.
But somewhere along the way, we convince ourselves that taking time for ourselves is selfish.
I know because I’ve done it too.
I’ve felt guilty sitting down.
Guilty resting.
Guilty switching off.
But here’s what I’m slowly realising…
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to reach breaking point before you’re allowed an hour to yourself.
Taking care of yourself doesn’t make you a bad mum.
It makes you a human being.
And sometimes that looks like a facial.
Sometimes it looks like a walk.
Sometimes it looks like a coffee in silence.
Whatever it is, please stop waiting for permission.

Can I be honest?
Mum guilt has been one of the hardest parts of this season of my life.
I feel guilty when I’m working because I want to spend more time with my son.
I feel guilty when I’m with my son because I know there are messages to answer, clients to look after and a business to run.
As a single mum rebuilding life through a difficult time, running a beauty business, paying the bills and trying to be everything to everyone, there are days I wonder if I’m doing enough.
But lately, I’m learning something important…
My son doesn’t need a perfect mum.
He needs a happy one.
A present one.
A loving one.
And on the days when all I can do is my best, that has to be enough.
