Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE a challenge! 💪🏽✨

This lovely young lady had been turned away by multiple stylists because they didn’t “specialise” in Afro hair. So when she came to me, I was excited to step outside my comfort zone and take on something completely new for me! 🤎

I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. 🥹✨ I’m so proud of myself for taking on the challenge and, most importantly, giving my client exactly what she wanted!

Hi everyone, meet Araya 💜 Araya was born with a neurological condition called moebius syndrome and other complex needs. Araya requires the use of oxygen, she has a tracheostomy, is ventilated for 16 hours a day and is peg fed (feeding tube straight into her tummy) For araya and her family each day is a blessing and a challenge rolled into one, Katie and Zak do everything in their power to give Araya the life she deserves, they are both parents and full time carers.

The council will only fund a small fraction towards Arayas adaptations and needs.

Araya has been going to physio which her amazing parents are funding themselves and is coming on so much, sitting up and building so much more body strength which is something her parents was told she would never be able to do. none of this would have been possible without your support!

with this being said, araya and her family are now facing yet more challenges. Their current housing situation is not practical given all of arayas needs. Carrying araya up and down the stairs and trying to bathe her has become extremely difficult and the bigger she gets the harder this is. Katie and Zak have reached out for help asking for an extension on the home to include a bed room and wet room for araya so she has her own safe space and everything she needs.

From next week we will be selling raffle tickets in the salon for all our clients who would like to help towards this strong little girl and her amazing parents getting the help and life they deserve. With the raffle tickets you can win a colour service or 2 cut and blows. Every penny that is made will go towards Arayas fundraiser 💜
