A wee hello, if you’re new here 🤎

I’m Ally, an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and founder of Glow Medspa in Inverness.

I qualified as a nurse in 2016, completed my first aesthetics training that same year and started working in aesthetics in 2017. I was drawn to this industry because I was genuinely fascinated by what it could do. How small, thoughtful changes could make someone feel a little more like themselves again.

Nearly a decade later, I think that’s still the part I love most.

I’ve done a lot of learning along the way, from advanced aesthetics training to Masters level university study in dermatology, person centred consultation and independent prescribing. I’m also very proud to be the North of Scotland Regional Leader for BAMAN.

But I think what matters most when you sit in my consultation room is that I’ll be honest with you.

I love looking at the bigger picture. Not just what we could treat today, but what will actually suit you, what’s worth doing and how the decisions we make now might look in five or ten years.

Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes it means a longer term plan. And sometimes it means me telling you I really don’t think you need anything at all.

A huge part of my life now is Glow. I founded the clinic and it really is my baby. I spend probably far too much of my time thinking about it, growing it and finding ways to make the experience we give our patients even better.

And when I’m not doing that, I’m happiest travelling, spending time with my husband and my parents, or anywhere there are animals involved.

I’d like this page to feel a little more personal from now on. More of what I’m doing in clinic, the treatments I genuinely love, conferences, training, running Glow and the things I’m learning and thinking about along the way.

So if you’ve only just found me, hello 🤎 I’m very glad you’re here.

BAMAN North of Scotland | Inverness ✨

I’m delighted to invite our BAMAN members to join me for an Intoxicating Afternoon Tea at the beautiful Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa on Sunday 29th November.

These regional events are such a lovely opportunity to step away from the clinic for an afternoon, catch up with familiar faces, meet other medical aesthetic professionals from across the Highlands and North of Scotland, and enjoy some relaxed conversation over afternoon tea.

Whether you’ve attended one of our events before or this would be your first, you’ll be made very welcome. Our regional get togethers are all about connection, support and building a strong local professional community.

A little reminder before your aesthetics appointment 🤎

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what treatment you want.

You don’t need to know how many syringes you need, or have decided which areas you’d like treated.

Just come and tell me what you’ve noticed, what’s bothering you, or simply how you’d like to feel when you look in the mirror.

We can talk through everything together and decide what feels right for you. Sometimes that might be a treatment. Sometimes it might be looking at your skin first. And sometimes it might be doing nothing at all.

There’s never any pressure to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.

That’s what the consultation is for. 🤎

A little update from me… my diary is officially open to new patients 🤎

For quite some time, the majority of my diary has been dedicated to looking after my existing patients, but I’m finally in a position to welcome some new faces again.

So, if you’ve been following along for a while, thinking about booking but perhaps weren’t quite sure where to start — this is your sign.

You don’t need to know what treatment you want. In fact, I’d rather you didn’t come with a shopping list.

We’ll look at you as a whole, talk about what’s bothering you (if anything), what you’d like to achieve and make a plan that actually makes sense for you.

Sometimes that means treatment. Sometimes skincare. Sometimes a longer-term plan.

And occasionally, it means me telling you that you don’t need anything at all. 🤎
