Lucy is another angel I’ve been painting for years and I always love our catch ups so much 🤍

She doesn’t like a heavier look or to wear a lot of makeup so I opted for a barely there light taupe eye and a super fine black liner and a few small lash inserts to make her amazing eyes stand out even more! It’s giving chic baddie 😍

I think it’s now been ten years (or almost) of Emily saying “just do whatever” 🤍

This kind of subtle pretty natural look is perfect for bridal too, if you never wear much makeup day to day don’t feel you have to wear something that doesn’t feel like you.

I’ve always dreaded writing this post, knowing one day the time would come. When her spinal issues began around 2 years ago, I think I started living in a state of anticipatory grief, knowing it could be anytime.
I tried everything — physio, hydrotherapy, a pram, wheels. I learned to express her bladder and bowels every four hours when she couldn’t do it herself. She adapted to her new, assisted life just like the amazing little dog she was. But deep down, I knew our time was limited.
From the moment I picked her up, I was completely OBSESSED with her. My love for her grew every single day. I’ve always said she was my heart living outside my body. My life revolved around her and it was a privilege. She was the puppy I’d wished for every Christmas and birthday as a little girl and she was perfect.
She was the cutest little toot with the biggest personality. Everyone who met her fell in love with her and she absolutely knew she was iconic ✨
She came to work with me for years, travelled with me, came to events and parties — she just loved being involved (aka being the centre of attention) the original diva.
Her last week was filled with all her favourite people, places, foods and so much love. She passed peacefully at home, in my arms. Feeling her go broke my heart in a way I can’t put into words. I could have held her forever. I’ll never forget her sweet little face, looking like she was just peacefully asleep.
I’m so grateful to Laura .vet and to Lisa who both cared for Tilly (and me) with so much love and compassion.
I know some people will think “it’s just a dog,” but Tilly was my child - she was my soul dog.
If you’ve ever been lucky enough to know the love of a dog, give them an extra cuddle today from me and Tills 🤍
