Oooooooh shoot!

It’s nearly Christmas!

Can you believe it?!

We are going to be with you through almost all of December.

We close, as usual, on Christmas Eve.

There are a few changes to the days that we are working around that day. There are also days where just one of us will be in as our days off vary due to childcare.

These are mainly in “The Christmas Gooch” (that weird hairy bit between Christmas and New Year).

James will be in Monday 22nd and then the Sunday after Christmas (28th) and New Years Eve.

Mark will be in Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th and New Years Eve.

These are the only changes to our usual working hours.

We will then be CLOSED New Years Day, Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd. Returning to you with our usual days and hours from Monday 5th January.

Naturally if you have any issues then please let us know. Check and double-check your booking just before Christmas as our flexibility to get you rebooked is very difficult at this time of year.

We have flexibility in the next two weeks so if you know you’re going to want a trim before Christmas then get to us asap.

We’re looking forward to this Christmas run-in. It’s always a great time of year at SH HQ and we can’t wait to see you all.

Just a little reminder that we’re being forced to take a day off to spend with our children on Monday.

So the shop will be CLOSED.

What a start to the week. Summer has well and truly left us.

The town centre has been, like James’ insoles, damp, smelly and uninviting to the local population (excluding tourists).

With this in mind what better time to take a few days off with the family (“More?!” you say? Yes. More.) Next week is half-term. So we will both be taking a couple of days out to ensure that we contribute towards the overpriced attractions on offer during this period.

Mark has Monday and Thursday booked off. This means that we will be CLOSED on Monday 27th October.

James will also be off on Thursday 30th as well as Friday 31st.

So we will also be CLOSED on Thursday 30th.

So appointment availability this and next week will be, like Mark’s legs, very thin. Although there’s a good chance that the appointment book owns bigger calf muscles.

This is our last handful of holiday days all the way until Christmas. So, fear not, we will be straddling the interior of Slog & Hustle for the entire run between 3rd November until Christmas Eve. As usual.

So, in short, Mark is off Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week. James is off Monday, Thursday and Friday next week. Therefore, we will be CLOSED for two days next week which are the Monday and Thursday. Otherwise, business as usual.

So…

… that’s it for just over a week.

We are now CLOSED until Tuesday 2nd September. When James will return. Mark will be back on Wednesday 3rd September.

Thank you all for keeping us, scarily, busy this week. It’s been a stonker!

Thank you also to very many of you that have been super flexible over the last week or two. You accommodating our schedule has actually made it steady and allowed us to, almost, get everybody in that’s asked us. So we are grateful for your contribution.

Obviously, you may need to make contact with us regarding appointments. These will be addressed when we get back. Mainly as we won’t be in a position to fulfil those requests until we are back in front of the appointment book. So don’t think ill of us if we are slow to respond.

We hope that you all have an incredible Bank Holiday and you and your families enjoy the last of the summer holidays.

We’ll try to bring some sun back with us.

Congratulations to all of our customers, who we’ve seen grow up through primary and secondary school, who received their GCSE results yesterday.

Your hard work has hopefully paid off and you’re heading on to what you worked so hard for.

Yes, the final results are important to you. But if you got what you needed, to get into the next stage of education, then your destination remains the same.

We’re looking forward to seeing you go on and nail it, yet again, in whatever you choose to do.

Good day all,

We’re dropping in to give you all a good bit of notice about when we’re both off on our holidays this year 🏖️

Like last year, we’ve actually managed to sync our holidays (although James won’t let me tag along with him) so we will be closing the shop for a week. This saves us being down to one barber over subsequent weeks 🛑

James will be away from:

Saturday 23rd August

Returning on:

Tuesday 2nd September

Mark will be away from:

Bank Holiday Monday 25th August

Returning on:

Wednesday 3rd September

So that means that week commencing Monday 25th August the shop will be closed for the entire week.

All we can do is apologise if this has any affect on your plans for haircuts. It just felt like a simpler way to do things.

As always, when these dates are put out, people start to book their haircuts right up until those dates to ensure they get in before we depart or on our return 🛫

So if you know that pre or post those dates that you want a booking then please get that pencilled in.
