A big thank you to the lovely ladies at Self Raising Flowers WI Ipswich for having a collection for us!
It's always good to have a collection with such a good variety of products in it - especially less frequently donated ones like household cleaning products. Thank you, Self Raising Flowers!
π§
If you know a community group or organisation who could do a collection for us, like here with Womenβs Institute, we'd love to hear from you - please get in contact.

We were excited to be invited to lead an assembly by St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Ipswich who want to have a donation drive for us. We hope the pupils have learnt a lot about hygiene poverty and how they can all help support people in need.
βοΈ
If one of your children attends the school, or if you are a member of staff, we've left our big yellow bin ready for product donations. We accept any new/sealed toiletry, hygiene, baby or cleaning products - anything you would use yourself or gift is welcome, including holiday miniatures and sample sachets. Mr McGill at St Pancras Catholic Primary School will arrange for us to return in a few weeks to collect everything. We look forward to seeing what you're all able to give to the local community. Thank you.

Thank you to the team at the Tesco store at Copdock, Ipswich along with their very generous customers! This is a wonderful (fast filling!) box for us and we're so grateful for their continued support.
π΄
If you're in the store soon, and are able, could you please pop and extra item in your trolley for us? We'll make sure the item goes to one of our Community Partners who can give it to someone who needs it - thank you.

A lovely trip out to Great Cornard, Sudbury to the Boots UK store on Applegate Mews. The store's manager Monika was happy to talk with us about the good we do for the community and their customers had started to help fill their new box - thank you to all the local residents for the donations!
π
We've also added Sudbury town to our list of other Suffolk Boots stores: Ipswich's Tavern Street, Queensway & Two Rivers, Martlesham, Hadleigh, Stowmarket and also Felixstowe, Woodbridge, and in Bury St Edmunds. If you're in one of these 11 stores, and if you can, please pop an extra item in your basket for us - thank you!

As part of our Corporate Volunteering Event last week with volunteers from Rosehill Library Suffolk Community Libraries, City & Guilds and Orbit Housing Association we managed to get some donations out to Community Partners; it was lovely to let them see the full process to the end! As our newest Community Partner to join us, we had Laura and Emma from Emmaus-Suffolk collect their first donations! On behalf of everyone who has donated to us in the past - thank you for helping make this possible.
Emmaus provides local support that helps people find hope beyond homelessness - providing spaces for everyone to belong and thrive. Their Wellbeing Hubs help to reduce isolation and loneliness, offering welcoming, warm spaces to all.

A lovely trip to see Ivy at Woodbridge Library to empty their donations box. They had a fantastic collection - including some great chunky items that hardly fitted in the box! Thank you to all the library users and staff for dropping off these items - they'll be appreciated by so many people!
π
We have boxes at Woodbridge Library Suffolk and also Rosehill Library so next time you've finished your book from Suffolk Community Libraries then please consider bringing an extra item with you when you come to return it - thank you!

To finish off Volunteers Week we had a very exciting day planned, we had some local people come and do some Corporate Volunteering on behalf of their organisations! So, we had Joy from the Rosehill Library, Michelle from City & Guilds and Sarah from Orbit Housing Association all come and help out a couple of our usual Volunteers package up some donation parcels to be distributed! We want to thank them all so much - we managed to get so much work done (they sent out 499.25kg in 2 hours)! and had such a lovely time working alongside you all.
β¨
We love it when people and their companies get involved and if you think yours could, then please get in touch and we can see how we can help each other.
