July… what a month. ✨

From beautiful filler transformations and glowing skin results to celebrating our competition winner, expanding our men’s treatment range, and welcoming Nurse Prescriber Rachel fully into the Skinscape team, it’s been a month full of growth.

Face steaming has become one of those treatments people expect in every facial, but the truth is, it isn’t always the right choice.

Steam doesn’t “open” your pores. Pores don’t have muscles to open and close. As Iv said in my other reels.

Its real purpose is to soften the outer layer of skin, loosen excess oil and debris, and make extractions easier when they’re actually needed.

For some skin types, especially sensitive skin, rosacea or an impaired skin barrier, steam can do more harm than good by increasing redness and irritation.

That’s why every facial at Skinscape is tailored to your skin, not a routine. Sometimes the best treatment is knowing what to leave out.

The syringe gets the attention, but the planning gets the results.

Mapping isn’t about drawing lines on a face. It’s about slowing down, assessing anatomy, considering symmetry, and creating a treatment plan that’s tailored to the person in front of you.

The more experience I gain, the more I realise the best outcomes are decided before the first injection is ever placed.

This is the part clients rarely notice, but it’s the part practitioners should never rush.
