Filler blindness is real… and I’m sharing my own journey 💉✨

The photo on the left is me with a face full of filler. At the time, I genuinely thought it looked good. Looking back now, I can see how overfilled my face had become.

After losing 2.5 stone, the filler looked even more out of proportion with my facial structure. What once felt balanced no longer suited my face, and it made me realise just how easy it is to develop “filler blindness” when changes happen gradually over time.

The photo on the right is me now. My face has been fully dissolved, with just 1ml of filler reintroduced into my lips. For the first time in years, I feel like I’m seeing my natural facial structure again.

This isn’t an anti-filler post. I love filler when it’s used correctly. In fact, I’ll be having more filler added next week. At 35, my goal is no longer to add volume for the sake of it, but to strategically support tissue, restore structure, lift and sculpt where needed, while keeping everything looking natural and undetectable.

As an aesthetic practitioner, I believe one of the most important things we can do is know when to say no, when to dissolve, and when less really is more.
