Doing a repair on a set of GHDs that have had a previous bodge repair on them. Not the first time I’ve seen this done. The 2 resistors covered in silicone. No idea about the ideology behind doing this. But, a bit of patience and a sharp knife gets it all off so I’m able to replace the blow resistor.
