Mission: Keeping a stiff upper lip, regardless.. Captain Fawcett's Gentleman's Emporium in King's Lynn welcomes visitors Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and by special arrangement at weekends. In 1905 Captain Peabody Fawcett R.N Ret’d, the intrepid and eminent Edwardian explorer, disappeared whilst attempting to navigate to the source of the Ubangi, a major tributary to the Congo River. No trace was ever found of his seemingly doomed expedition... until that is, in 1997, an old battered trunk purchased at a house clearance sale, was taken home and its locks forced. Incredibly, amongst its decaying and mildewed contents was found an exquisite dressing case containing salves, unguents, ointments and the missing adventurers long lost journals. Scattered amongst the many tales of hardship, derring do and wonders seen, where one was expected to “keep a stiff upper lip, regardless”, were found meticulously detailed lists of exotic ingredients for use in the Captain’s very own grooming requisites. These precise formulae have been faithfully followed and Fawcett’s original potions, along with his world renowned Moustache Wax are now available to the discerning gentleman for the first time in over a century.

A veritable global whirlwind of familiar faces, new connections, stockists, brand ambassadors, barbers, stylists, students, old hands, educators, influencers and podcasters...I say!
Jolly good to see members from the current Project Men & Media cohort from The Fellowship for British Hairdressing building their network and to catch a moment with the Project's leading light Mr Simon Shaw!
And, suffice to say, the Captain's new Paste Pomade was causing quite a stir...

Ricki Hall. The RHM. Chief Perfumer John Stephen. Together, they sit down to discuss the origins of one of Captain Fawcett's most beloved fragrances, and Ricki attempts to craft his very own bottle on site.
Suffice to say, the results are rather compelling...
Honeyed To***co trailing smoke through bittersweet Orange and Bergamot. Bay Rum. Galbanum. White Thyme. Maple, Vanilla Bean and Frankincense. A fragrance that has always been more than the sum of its parts.

And what a life it was at Goodwood Revival 2026.
The RHM was joined at Stand 269 by a most magnificent crew; chip off the old block Jack, the ever-dependable LHM Corey Doades, dynamic duo Ryan Pike & Allan Robinson, and Ambassador Extraordinaire Adam Chad Child () - flying the Fawcett flag at Stand 269 Over The Road with considerable distinction.
But the standout moment?
Every year, Adam takes to the circuit for the iconic Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy - and this year, alongside teammate Stuart Tonge aboard a 1954 Matchless G80 CS, the man delivered a simply superb 3rd Place finish.
Huzzah, huzzah and thrice huzzah! 🥃🏍️
