Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that primarily affects the skin, causing it to develop red, scaly patches. FreezPen is a medical device used for cryotherapy, which delivers a controlled and precise freezing treatment to skin lesions and other skin conditions. It works by delivering a fine jet of compressed nitrous oxide gas to the affected area, which causes rapid freezing of the tissue, to at least -62°C, resulting in the destruction of the targeted cells. ❄️❄️

What is purging?

Purging is a temporary phase where your skin breaks out after starting a new skincare product, especially one that increases the cell turnover, such as retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (BHAs), or exfoliants. During this period, underlying congestion, such as blackheads or microcomedones (tiny clogged pores), is brought to the surface more quickly, leading to breakouts. Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects 1 in 10 women in the UK. It can cause irregular periods, weight gain, acne, and excess hair growth (Hirsutism). This excess hair growth can appear on the face, chest, back and other areas, which can be extremely distressing.
