Right…I’ve got a chair/space available here at The Den and I’d love to find someone who wants to run their own business from my little salon!

Three days a week I’m closed, and doing life with my own kids and it seems like a waste to have the salon just sat there when someone could be earning themselves some money!

Hairdresser, barber, aesthetics, brows, lashes, nails, beauty… I’m pretty open to what you do, because I’m more about the type of person than anything else!

The Den is not your standard beige salon. There’s no conveyor belt of clients, bitchy atmosphere or ridiculous expectations. But I do like bright pink and disco balls 🪩

It can be loud and it can be chaotic.
Sometimes it’s super quiet and someone needs the music turning off.
Someone might need to walk around for half their appointment (or all of it - who cares?!)
Sometimes people need to visit three times before they even make it through the door.

That’s kind of the whole point - none of that is a problem here!

I built The Den because I wanted somewhere people could come without feeling like they were difficult, awkward or an inconvenience.

Somewhere everyone is understood, not judged or feeling like you have to explain yourself. Somewhere that feels safe 🌈
And somewhere nobody gives a s**t if you don’t fancy making small talk for 45 minutes 😂

You don’t need loads of SEND experience. I can help with that. You just need to be kind, patient and not easily offended. Preferably not a reform voter and ideally a little bit weird because otherwise I’m not sure this is going to work 🤪

You’d be completely self-employed and doing your own thing, your business, your clients, your hours, just based in The Den.

Bea is going to be starting at The Den today, they’re going to be learning all things ‘The Den’ and basically being my extra pair of hands & wingman. I’m really excited!
They have a vast knowledge of SEND & are a huge advocate of inclusivity.

All appointments will still be with me as normal and all booking remains the same, Bea will just be there in the background. If you wish for your appointment to remain just me then that’s okay too, just let me know 😊

What makes a salon feel safe?

For me it’s:
✨ Listening first
✨ No sensory overload - lots of people & hairdryers = banished
✨ Patience & kindness as standard
✨ Privacy when you need it, with only one client/family at a time

The Den is more than just hair — it’s a safe space I built for people who don’t always feel comfortable in traditional salons. I’ve put my heart and soul into the place, not for money or clout, but because I never wanted anyone else to feel like I did when trying to access a simple haircut.
And I’m so proud of the space I’ve created ❤️
