To all my gorgeous clients,

As most of you know by now, I will not be continuing my lease at 83 Ings Road.
Just over 5 years I took on the salon, 20 years old and excited to be a salon owner! Now 5 years later, 25 years old, after COVID and many periods of being closed and now the current cost of living crisis I've decided to no longer be a salon owner.
It's been an amazing crazy ride, but I'm now on to new and exciting things for myself!

I just want to take the time to thank all of my clients, who made it possible of being a salon owner over the years. Also an even bigger thank you to the clients who continue to come to me for their hair and have appointments booked for half a year 😂

I will be continuing hairdressing on a Friday and Saturday within the property at 83 Ings Road, still self-employed, so there will be no difference as to how you contact me for an appointment.

💜4 Years!💜

Can you actually believe it?! Cause I can't!

Thank you to all my amazing clients that have made this 4th year possible, wouldn't be here with out you 😘

So after a morning rewriting and deleting this message, as a businesswoman I believe I need to post this. Hold on its going to be a long one!

From these past few weeks I've had a lot of people cancelling last minute. Covid related cancellations are absolutely fine and understandable.
But cancelling without 48 hours notice, because you've forgotten, got other plans or without a reason is not acceptable.
I am trying to run a business and with the past 2 years it's been hard enough trying to make an income, and successfully run a business, without the added cancellations.
Today alone I've had a full day cancel, separate clients, that's £250+ I have not earned and not opened the salon. Over this week so far with people cancelling, it's £400+. (Covid cancellations not included).
So you see I'm at a loss of earnings, and this is one week example, and we are only half way through the week.

I am only a one woman band, so when people cancel, the stress of not only the business comes to mind, but how am I going to pay myself? It's enough to put a strain on your health.
From now on as for most of my clients that I have done for years and rebook every time, instead of deposits, (cause that would just get confusing 😬) I am going to add 20% of your hair service onto your bill when you next come in, if you cancelled your previous appointment without 48hrs notice without a valid excuse.

I hope you all understand that I am just trying to make my business survive, that I also need to be paid, and my health means even more.
