* Immune system: your body sees pigment as foreign and slowly clears some of it.
* Sun/UV: one of the biggest reasons brows fade faster.
* Oily skin: oil can push pigment out quicker and make strokes blur/fade.
* Skincare: retinol, acids, peels, exfoliants, vitamin C and strong facials can speed fading.
* Depth: if pigment is placed too shallow, it fades quickly; too deep can heal ashy or blurred.
* Pigment choice: lighter/blonde pigments fade quicker than darker ones.
* Aftercare: picking, sweating, swimming, sauna, or getting them wet too early can reduce retention.
* Health/lifestyle: hormones, medication, metabolism and immune response can all affect healing.
