Nailtips

Well, today is the end of an era. It was a hard decision to make but you all know why. For health reasons I have had to give up nails after 23 years. I would like to thank you all for your valued custom and friendship over the years and hope that even though the last couple of years have been a bit stressful and I have cried on you all regularly, I have in my capacity as nail tech, marriage guidance counsellor, interior designer, landscape gardener, dog groomer, psychologist, style advisor, culinary advisor and all round domestic goddess given good advice when asked and made you smile more than I’ve made you cry. Call me anytime you need to know whether to cook meat before it goes in a pie or how to deal with your teenage daughters new relationship. I will always be here and will give you all a shout whenever I’m fundraising for the MS Society. Bring on the Prosecco!
On that final note, now that I’m blubbing (again) thank you again and I love you all loads.

Morning my nail ladies, apparently cos I’m on steroid tablets I need to stay away from infection so can anyone coming for nails please reappoint if they have a cold or anything else naughty. Looking forward to seeing you all. Xx

Been having a rainy day play. Was supposed to be gardening but winter has arrived today.

I’ve been hearing more and more people talk about their nails, how expensive they are, how we charge too much, how they are always looking for someone cheaper, they don’t understand why we charge so high when it all goes in our pocket etc etc...

I think there’s something some people need to understand. These 4 things... sample tips, a new brush, 1 container of gel and a glass dish for acrylic cost about £100. For just these 4 things. We need supplies CONSTANTLY. We buy great quality products because we think that’s what you deserve. We invest our time and our money into the newest trends, the best glitters and polishes, classes. Because we want you to love your nails and we take pride in what we do. We have to build a back bar while trying to build clientele so you have variety. Gel polish cost an average of £15 A PIECE. Coloured acrylics, Glitter, crystals, chrome, stamps, decals, tips, all cost us out of pocket.

We don’t complain because we LOVE WHAT WE DO. But please remember when you are searching for a new nail tech, that we do put a great deal of what we make back into our work. What you pay for your nails fill doesn’t just go straight into my fund for Holidays . We love you, we appreciate you and we could not do what we do without you! Please remember we invest in you just as much as you invest in us! ❤️
