Just a little update for my lovely clients 💛

I’m still doing my permanent makeup, just on a part-time basis at the moment, but I’m also putting a lot of love into my new jewellery page too.

I’ve been uploading lots of pieces tonight, and there’s a real mix of new, vintage, silver, stamped 925 pieces, some Swarovski, and even a few diamond pieces as well.

To my lovely clients,

I just wanted to put a little note on here because I know I’ve been very quiet and haven’t been posting much lately.

The truth is, my osteoarthritis has got a worse, and I’ve been in a lot of pain which is constant and It’s been worse than it’s ever been, so I’ve had to be honest with myself and sensible about my limits. That’s not been easy for me, because anyone who knows me knows how much I love what I do.

My work, especially permanent makeup, is very physical and takes a lot out of me, and at the moment I simply can’t work the way I used to. I’ve had to accept that I need to slow down and listen to my body a bit more.

That said, I am not giving up doing what I love. I still want to be here, and I still want to work with my lovely clients, just in a way that is more manageable for me. Going forward, I’ll likely be taking a smaller number of appointments, perhaps just a day or two a week, depending on how I’m feeling.

Thank you so much for your patience, your kindness, and your continued support. It really does mean the world to me. This business has always meant so much to me, and so have all of you.

✨ Lip Enhancement – Subtle Volume & Improved Symmetry ✨

This treatment was all about enhancing what was already there, not overfilling or changing the natural lip shape.

🔹 Volume:
Carefully placed product to restore softness and gentle fullness, particularly through the body of the lips, creating a healthier, more hydrated appearance.

🔹 Symmetry:
Small asymmetries were balanced to improve overall harmony between the top and bottom lip, while keeping the lips looking natural and proportionate to the face.

🔹 Shape & Structure:
Definition was added subtly to the lip borders to support shape and structure without harsh lines or an “overdone” finish.

🔹 Style:
A soft, natural enhancement style – designed to look like your lips, just better. No exaggerated projection, no artificial finish.

✨ Swelling and redness are completely normal immediately after treatment and will settle as the lips heal, leaving a smooth, natural result.

✨ Why depth matters in Permanent Makeup ✨
(An important and often misunderstood topic)

I saw a client recently who came to me with green brows and visible scarring from previous PMU work. This isn’t a colour-choice issue — it’s a depth issue.

Permanent makeup should be implanted into the upper layers of the skin.
When pigment is placed too deep into the dermis, rather than the correct superficial layer, several problems can occur:

🔹 Scarring
The dermis contains blood vessels and connective tissue. Cutting too deeply can damage this structure, leading to permanent scarring. Once scar tissue forms, it does not shed or regenerate like healthy skin.

🔹 Colour turning green or grey
When pigment is implanted too deeply, the body cannot break it down or remove it naturally. Over time, the warmer tones fade first, leaving behind cooler undertones — which is why brows can heal green, grey, or ashy.
This is not normal fading — it’s trapped pigment.

🔹 Why some oily skins go pink instead
With oily or very active skin, pigment placed at the correct depth may be gradually pushed out by the skin’s natural oil production. This can leave a pink or warm undertone, but importantly:
➡️ the skin itself remains healthy
➡️ there is no scarring
➡️ the colour can be safely adjusted at a later date

When pigment is implanted too deeply, even if colour fades on the surface, the scarring remains because the damage has already been done.

✨ Good PMU is about control, not pressure
Ethical permanent makeup is built up gently over time. Depth, skin type, pressure, and pigment choice all matter — and no two skins should ever be treated the same.

Correction work like this takes experience, restraint, and respect for the skin — not more trauma.

If you’re ever unsure about previous PMU, or worried about colour changes or texture in the skin, please seek advice early. The skin always tells a story.

Client Update 🤍

Just a little update to let you all know that I’m still unwell and unfortunately not well enough to return to work just yet.

I’ve now been seen by the doctor and started on antibiotics and steroids for a severe chest infection / possible pneumonia, so I’m really hoping these begin to kick in over the next few days.

As frustrating as it is, I need to rest properly so I can recover fully and come back feeling well and strong again. I promise I’ll be back to work as soon as I possibly can.
