Dear lovely clients,

something has unfortunately become a growing issue at the salon recently

Over the past few weeks, we have had a large number of last-minute cancellations and appointments where clients simply haven’t turned up

We completely understand that life happens. Children get poorly, plans change and sometimes things are genuinely unavoidable. We will always try to be as understanding as possible when something unexpected happens.

However, we also want to explain what happens on the other side of that appointment.

When you book an appointment with us, that time is reserved especially for you. We turn other clients away from that slot, our team arrange their working day around it, and if an appointment is missed at short notice, it is often impossible for us to fill that space.

For a small independent business, this means we can lose hours of work and a significant amount of income in a single day.

We are not simply asking you to respect an appointment because it is inconvenient for us — this is our livelihood. It is our job, our business and how we earn our living.

We absolutely love what we do and feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing clients, which is why we want to be honest about this rather than simply becoming stricter without explaining why.

So please, if you know you cannot make your appointment, give us as much notice as possible. Even 24 hours’ notice gives us a much better chance of offering the appointment to someone else who has been waiting for a cancellation.

We genuinely appreciate that your appointment may only be one small part of your day, but to us, your appointment is part of our working day and our income.

Thank you to all of you who always turn up, give us plenty of notice when you need to change an appointment and support our little business. We really do appreciate you more than you know. 🤍
