☀️ Getting the most from your massage in the warmer weather

A few simple things can make your treatment more comfortable and help you get the best results.

Before your appointment: 💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day. ☀️ Try to avoid arriving with fresh sunburn. If you've been caught out in the sun and your skin is hot or painful, just send me a message before your appointment. 👕 Wear light, comfortable clothing if it's a warm day.

After your massage: 💧 Keep drinking water to stay hydrated. 🚿 Wash the massage oil off before spending time in the sun. 🍷 If possible, avoid alcohol until the following day. Massage, alcohol and hot weather can all contribute to dehydration, and many people find alcohol affects them more after a treatment. 🌞 Give your body time to recover. Instead of heading straight to a beer garden, BBQ or a long walk in the sunshine, try to take it easy for the rest of the day.

A massage is your body's chance to slow down and reset. A little hydration, shade and rest afterwards can help you enjoy the benefits for longer.

Enjoy the sunshine, and I'll see you on the massage table! 😊

Massage doesn’t need to feel aggressive to be effective.

Often the body responds better when treatment is gradual, responsive and adapted in real time rather than forcing resistant areas.

Calm and effective can exist together.

“I didn’t realise how much I needed that.”

Probably one of the most common things I hear after treatment.

Sometimes people become so used to carrying tension that it starts to feel normal.

Until the body is finally given enough time and space to properly switch off.

Appointments available over the coming weeks.

Rest is often treated as something we earn once everything else is finished.

But for many people, “everything else” is never really finished.

The body isn’t designed to stay in a constant state of rushing, tension and overstimulation without eventually asking for recovery.

Sometimes slowing down is not indulgence. Sometimes it’s necessary.

One thing I wish more people knew before booking a massage is that you don’t need to know exactly what to ask for.

You don’t need the “perfect” explanation for your tension. You don’t need to wait until things feel bad enough. And you don’t need to force yourself to fully relax immediately.

Treatments are always adapted to what your body needs on the day.

My treatments tend to suit people who spend most of their life “holding it together.”

The people who rarely stop. Who carry stress quietly. Who don’t always realise how much tension they’ve been living with until it finally begins to ease.

Massage can help the body slow down in a way many people struggle to do on their own.

I created the 120-minute treatment because I kept finding there often wasn’t enough time.

Full body treatments frequently become: back, legs, arms, neck… and then time runs out.

The slower work, integrated stretches, scalp, feet and deeper switch-off are usually the first things sacrificed.

This treatment was designed to feel unhurried from beginning to end.

For those who feel like they need m
ore than a quick fix.

A lot of people assume they simply need more pressure.

But often what the body actually needs is enough time to stop guarding.

The nervous system rarely relaxes instantly. Sometimes the first part of a treatment is simply the body realising it’s safe to let go.

This is why treatments are always adapted to what your body needs on the day, rather than following a fixed routine.

Small details matter when someone spends most of their life rushing.

Warm blankets. Quiet surroundings. Time to settle. Treatments that don’t feel hurried from beginning to end.

Massage is never just about muscles.

Often it’s about finally giving the body and mind permission to slow down.

Sunday appointments now available monthly.
