A WEE THROWBACK 🥹✂️💚

This memory popped up today and I just had to share it!

This was the day I announced I was taking the leap and opening my very first salon. 🥹 I didn’t officially open the doors until the following month, but seeing this again brought back all the excitement, nerves and probably a few “what the hell am I doing?” moments! 🤣

One thing I’ll never stop being grateful for is my awesome clients. ❤️ Some of you were sitting in my chair back then and are STILL sitting in it today, and I’ve welcomed so many amazing people along the way. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you and never take your support for granted.

I started hairdressing at 14 and nearly 27 years later, I’m still just as passionate about what I do. There’s always something new to learn, something to improve on and somewhere to grow, although apparently I still haven’t learned how to STOP booking myself onto courses! 🤣 hahaha

This year has brought another exciting wee chapter too, with Sandy joining the salon and working alongside me. It’s been lovely welcoming him and his clients through the door, and having his years of experience, skills and talent in the salon — plus, of course, plenty of laughs along the way! 🤣💚✂️

The official 7-year salon celebrations can wait until next month… when the anniversary balloon will, of course, be making its annual appearance! 🎈🤣

💚✂️ ONE MONTH OF TEAM LINTON! ✂️💚

Well, that's Sandy's first month at Louise Linton Hairdressing done and dusted… and we're still speaking! Just! 🤣😂

It's been a fantastic first month, full of laughs, banter and the occasional urge to strangle each other… as you can see! 🤣

A huge thank you to all of Sandy's lovely clients for the wonderful feedback we've received. Hearing how much you've enjoyed your visits, the warm welcome and the look and feel of the salon really does mean the world. ❤️

Although we're two self-employed hairdressers running our own independent businesses under one roof, it's lovely having someone to share the salon, the laughs and the madness with!

Here's to many more YEARS of working alongside each other, Sandy… apparently I'm not getting rid of him now! 🤣🤣

One month down, a lifetime to go… providing we don't strangle each other first! 😂💚

I honestly couldn’t get over all the nail art samples Michelle has created herself 😍 Her talent is unreal! There was far too much choice for me 😂 so after all that, I ended up going for my absolute favourite holiday red ❤️

Michelle’s work is fantastic and, of course, the banter is top tier 😂🙌

I’m a big believer in small businesses supporting other small businesses ❤️ If someone’s brilliant at what they do, shout about them!

☀️ ANNUAL LEAVE INCOMING ✂️

One last big week for me — 6 days behind the chair and then I’m breaking off on Saturday for 10 days annual leave 🙌😂☀️

I’ll be properly switching off while I’m off, so any messages, emails or appointment enquiries will be answered when I’m back in the salon ❤️

Sandy will be holding the fort while I’m off ✂️ Although apparently he’s already decided he needs a cardboard cut-out of me to keep him company 😂😂

Just a wee reminder that Sandy and I have separate diaries, so he won’t have access to my appointments or bookings while I’m off.

✨ Foil top-up & a BIG chop ✂️

Freshened up those foils, adding soft dimension through the brunette with a brighter pop around the face 🤎

🚨 MAMA MAC HAS RETURNED! 🚨

After so many of you asking when the next batch was coming… she’s been busy again! 😂❤️

This week we have:

At this point I genuinely don’t have enough room in the salon for all her baking… we’re slowly turning into a café 😂☕️✂️

And me and Sandy have got holiday swimsuits to fit into… Mama Mac, you’re really no helping the situation here! HaHa 😂👙🩳

As always, every penny raised goes towards fantastic causes, and every single purchase and donation is very much appreciated. ❤️

What a brilliant day! 🥰🐝

So lovely seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones and spending the day with such a great bunch of people at another one of Kirsty’s business workshops at the beautiful Balbirnie House Hotel ❤️

I’ve been to a few of Kirsty’s workshops now and there’s a reason I keep coming back. I always leave with fresh ideas, loads of motivation and a good few laughs along the way 😂

Today we were sent out into the gorgeous Balbirnie grounds to get a wee bit creative… and as you can see, we took the assignment VERY seriously 🤣📸

We even got one of the Balbirnie grounds team involved while he was cutting the grass… and to be fair, he looked pretty invested in the workbook by the end of it 😂📖

All jokes aside, I genuinely can’t recommend Kirsty and her workshops enough. She has such a great way of getting you thinking differently about your business, sharing fresh new ideas and pushing you a wee bit outside your comfort zone , while keeping the whole day relaxed and fun.

Two weeks in and Sandy’s already decided he’s having a full rebrand… 😂

Safe to say there’s never a dull moment in here!

🎄 I’m actually cringing mentioning the C word when I’ve not even had my summer holiday yet 😂☀️

But just a wee heads-up for my regular clients who haven’t booked their December appointments yet ❤️

My December diary has filled up much quicker than I expected this year, and all my late nights and Saturdays are now taken.

I do still have a few wee daytime cut spaces here and there, with some availability for color on the 21st & 23rd, so if you normally come to me in December and haven’t booked yet, just give me a wee message 🥰

I will already be working everyday in December until 7/8pm, so unfortunately I won’t have much room for squeezing extra appointments in nearer the time 🙈😂
