After the announcement yesterday by the First Minister I am hoping that I can re-open at the end of April.

As the exact date has still to be confirmed and we have no information on the order that different sectors will reopen, I will wait until another announcement is made before making any more plans or taking any bookings.

Thank you for your patience and I will keep you up to date as and when I know any more. I hope you are all keeping safe and there haven’t been too many dodgy lockdown home haircuts for me to fix when we get back. Can’t wait to see you all soon.

Once lockdown is lifted and the salon reopens there will be a big change at Christopher Elliott Hair Design...after 10 years Dianne has moved on to pastures new as she has moved away. Some of you are still surprised to find out she’s my sister 😂 and it goes without saying I will miss her loads. I’m sure her regular clients will miss her too and she wants me to send you her thanks for your custom over the years.

That means for the time being, we won’t be offering nails, waxing and other beauty treatments. However, we do have a spare room available now with a ready made business , and a great opportunity for someone so if anybody would be interested in renting a room to provide waxing and beauty treatments, please get in touch 👍🏽Christopher. xx

Your health and safety and mine is my priority, therefore please take note of the following important information and guidelines before you visit the salon:

GUIDE FOR CLIENTS:

Visits will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY, no walk-in appointments available until further notice

BOOKINGS
Telephone bookings will be available from the 15th July on the usual salon phone number 01555 661088

ARRIVAL - SOCIAL DISTANCING AND HAND SANITISING.
Please form a queue, keeping a distance of 2m when checking in, if necessary please queue outside. Sanitize your hands using gel provided. Please arrive as close as possible to your appointment time to limit the number of clients inside the salon at any one time. However, please do be on time, I may be unable to accomodate you if you are late for your appointment.

TEMPERATURE CHECK
I will do a quick contactless temperature check using an infra red thermometer when you arrive. If you are running a high temperature you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. I hope you understand this is for your safety, my safety and all other clients safety.

WEAR A FACE COVERING OR MASK
As per Scottish Government guidelines, please arrive wearing a face covering or mask unless you are medically exempt. Face coverings should be worn at all times during your visit. If you see a client without a face covering, please assume that they are medically exempt but continue to wear your own face covering.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

PPE
I will be wearing a visor and a face mask in line with the Scottish Governments requirements.

CONTACTLESS GREETING
I will still give you the warmest welcome and a big smile, but no hugs or handshakes for the time being unfortunately, please don’t be offended.

STAGGERED APPOINTMENTS
To limit client flow and encourtage social distancing, appointment times will be staggered

SOCIAL DISTANCING
You will be seated keeping a social distance from other clients with perspex screens in place.

All tools, stations, chairs and equipment will be sanitised between each client and hygiene in the salon will be maintained to the highest standard.

NO TEA, COFFEE OR MAGAZINES
Unfortunately I am unable to offer clients the usual refreshments and magazines at the moment in line with Scottish Government guidance.

TEST AND PROTECT
Your name and contact details will be retained for 4 weeks and may be shared with the Scottish Governments Test and Protect scheme if I am required to do so.

I am delighted to be working towards reopening the salon on 15 July and can’t wait to see all of my amazing clients and friends. 🎉 🎉 🎉

Please note that this date is only indicative at the moment and I will have to operate within Scottish Government guidance at that time so this date may change.

I am awaiting guidance from the Scottish Government about how things will work but there will be some changes for your safety and mine.

🌟 I will be operating by appointment only - there will be no walk ins allowed until further notice

🌟 I expect a high demand for appointments so please bear with me. I will have to work with reduced numbers of clients in the salon at any one time but plan to be working longer days to accommodate more people in a day if possible. I’ll make sure you’re all booked in but you can’t all be the first ones in on the 15th 😂😂

🌟 Please attend appointments alone - don’t bring family, friends or children with you as there will be limited space as we must maintain safe social distancing between clients

🌟 We are not taking appointments for beauty treatments at the moment such as nails and waxing - hair appointments only for now.

🌟 I will likely require full names and contact numbers when you book an appointment which will be kept and possibly shared with the Scottish Governments Test & Protect programme if required.

🌟 I may have to check clients temperatures as you enter the salon using an infra red thermometer - if you are running a high temperature you will be asked to reschedule your appointment to a later date. I hope you understand this is for everyone’s safety, including you and
me.

🌟 On the day of your appointment, if you are feeling unwell, you should not attend the salon. I will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

🌟 Clients may be required to wear face coverings but I will update when we receive Scottish Government guidance on this nearer the time
