It’s one of the first questions we’re asked — and one of the reasons so many clients are pleasantly surprised when they receive their treatment price during consultation.

CO₂ Fractional Laser isn’t a one-size-fits-all treatment, so neither is the price.

Before quoting, we assess the severity and cause of the skin damage, the area requiring treatment, the result you’re hoping to achieve, your Fitzpatrick skin type and how your skin responds to UV and heat. All of this influences how we plan and perform your treatment.

📖 STORY TIME: Sometimes the treatment is only half the story…

When this lady first came to see me, her skin showed significant long-term photodamage.

Years of sunbeds. Years of holidays.

And this is something I see frequently in clinic: the damage caused by UVA exposure in our younger years doesn’t necessarily reveal itself immediately. It accumulates over time, damaging collagen and elastin within the skin, until eventually we begin to see the consequences — coarse texture, deep lines, crepiness, uneven pigmentation and that characteristic weathered appearance.

At her consultation, I was very clear with her.

Could CO₂ fractional laser make a significant improvement to her skin? Absolutely.

But if she intended to continue using sunbeds and excessively exposing her skin to UV, I genuinely didn’t believe it made sense for her to invest in treatment.

We could work incredibly hard to remodel and regenerate the skin, but continuing the behaviour responsible for much of that damage would be working against everything we were trying to achieve.

She took that advice seriously.

When she returned approximately six weeks after ONE CO₂ fractional laser treatment, she told me she hadn't used a sunbed since.

And I could see it before I'd even properly examined the treatment result.

Her entire complexion looked healthier. Brighter. Fresher. More refined.

Then look at the areas we actually treated.

The improvement through the cheek is significant, but around the mouth — where years of photodamage had created extremely coarse, deeply etched texture — the change after just one session is incredible.

This is why I’m so passionate about CO₂.
