A bit of a rough start to the day at Prestige Salon.

At around 5am this morning, someone attempted to break into the salon through the rear door. Thankfully, our alarm did exactly what it was there to do and scared them off before they managed to get inside.

We’ll need to replace the rear door, and have the wall damage repairs but ultimately it could have been a lot worse.

A huge thank you as well to Lancaster Police. They were there within literal minutes, with three police cars arriving at the scene. That kind of response really matters, especially for small local businesses, and hopefully it makes people think twice about targeting businesses in the area.

From today, we’ll also be bolstering our security further, including additional cameras covering both the rear and front of the salon, alongside strengthening our alarm system.

We haven’t had anything like this happen for quite a few years, but it’s a reminder for other local businesses to stay vigilant, check your alarms, cameras and doors, and make sure everything is as secure as it can be.

Massive thanks again to Lancaster Police for such a quick response.
