Just to clarify - this is an ingredient ban (TPO and HEMA)- NOT a gel ban!

Ingredients that were given to rats in a lab to ingest... not tested on nails..

Dentists will also still be legally able to use these ingredients in people's mouths in the form of resin - based fillings etc..

If your nail tech is a true professional, they will be using a genuine, good quality, professional brand, and together with that brand, they will have been on top of all of this, from when the first whispers of this ban appeared.

Personally, I have been educating my clients on this all along, and switching my beloved Nailchemy collection, over to their new formula, over the last year or so.

It's a shame they came for those of us who are qualified and honest, and use our products correctly, rather than taking the opportunity to regulate the industry properly, but here we are.

There has always, and will continue to be misinformation, but the real problem, as ever, is people using chemicals they are not trained to understand and use correctly. We still have no regulations to ensure that you can trust your nail tech is truly trained and qualified..
